It's Ozil. Welcome to Toronto Mesut Ozil
Lol it's not Ozil
They should announce some donkey as DP so these stupid rumors stop.
i wouldnt take ozil at a 1/4 of his wage,i think bradley would kill him
Vanney has said in the past that he wants to play with width and one striker. I'd say there's a good chance that the DP, whoever it is, is a left winger. In any case, not sure complementing a guy who seems to be on the way out is going to be the team's No. 1 priority.
EDIT: In light of the reported Menendez signing, it's possible TFC go for a midfielder, though I'd expect Menendez is more of a depth guy.
All competitions. SES has barely seen time in the Champions League (he did miss some time with injury). SES has been effective when on the pitch, but Roma have younger and more exciting guys on the roster.

If we are loaning menendez according to my FIFA report he’s got god dribbling and great speed. Finally a good winger option.
What's the Paul Mariner scout report look like?
wrong thread
I’m hearing Jesus corona name being thrown around a lot in the past 24hr
Twitter in Argentina is gaining traction with the news from a prominent radio host breaking news about Menendez coming to Toronto.
I wonder how they're trying to circumvent the salary cap or roster spots by doing a 6month loan (instead of 12 month) and a 3.5 million purchase option.
Maybe because the purchase option is dp status a 6 month loan would break that in half roughly and with some TAM money bring him down to TAM status?
Menendez guy may be good as depth. Still hoping we'll sign a star striker to replace Giovinco. So far the off-season has been absolutely disastrous, losing our two best players in VV and Giovinco, and I'm starting to get a little worried. Boyd and Menendez, on paper at least, will likely do okay in our league, but they're not starting material for a club that wants to make the play-offs IMHO.
Menendez looks to me to be a guy the FO wants starting. TAM guys are starters otherwise you're likely wasting money.
Depending on salary they might not have to use TAM on him for the time being.
They can’t use TAM on him now anyway. If he signs later for $3.5m he would be a DP unless the release clause is split over the life of the contract in which case they could potentially buy his cap hit down with TAM depending on what the number is (and assuming the actual fee they end up at is $3.5m).
So the FO’s expectation is that he’s either a DP-calibre or high-end TAM player if they were to just buy him outright.
I know it was commented on by someone earlier, but it was so absurd I had to comment on it again:
To suggest that SES would be fine as a TAM signing is absolutely absurd. Guy would instantly become the most talented player in the MLS.
How quickly we get spoiled...
