“What the world needs is more geniuses with humility; there are so few of us left.”
Urruti is a proven MLS striker, a domestic, and is only 27.
Forget the Zavaleta/Moor stuff. I doubt Delgado alone would be enough.

Conveniently there have been recent comparables to Urruti in the market.
1. Ramirez (27 years old, 600k salary, 23 goals/57 games) - moved for ~800k
2. Nemeth (29 years old, 1m salary, 12 goals/58 games) - moved for 350k and first round pick
I think it's safe to say he's not moving for Ramirez money but def not below Nemeth. Somewhere around 500-600k I think would be fair market value.
Marky is only 23, a USMNT and on a cap friendly $230 k contract. I don't think Urruti would be enough for Marky. I like them both as players but if I have to choose between the 2 I'm sticking with Marky, Urruti's $700 k is a chunk of cash to fit under the cap
If we are doing this for cash....
Ramirez is definitely a good comp, Nemeth not so much, those two years that he is older are a big deal, plus he's an international.
I think Urruti is worth more than Ramirez. Urruti has a much better strike rate than Ramirez, especially if you give him credit for 2017. Plus he did it for better teams.
I think Dwyer is also a comp, at the upper end, btw. So that would imply something between 800-1600K.
But I suspect they want a real player back. They were vulnerable in midfield, and presumably have another striker coming in.

Urruti rumour is Montreal. Let him go their and infuriate his teammates.
I didn't like him in 2017 either, btw.
Delgado had a pretty bad year, but is one of only a few in our MF who provides a bit of defensive cover. Especially lots of interceptions & stolen balls; starting the play that led to Jozy's goal in MLS Cup is one of many examples. Bradley isn't getting any faster either. (Plus we lost Hasler and Will Johnson earlier.) I think we need help in defensive midfield anyway; even more so if Delgado is part of any trade.
Well let's see if Bez has had something in mind. Half day trade window is open today from 9am to 1pm ET. If we're looking to make a trade within the league before the expansion draft it would need to be done soon.
Choke - pass. He’s poison for every team that he goes to.
If this tweet holds true, its same old same old for TFC today - Bez doesn't usually do anything on this day.

if there isnt any changes to our squad during the offseason, how can we expect to improve; Management needs to look from top to bottom and bottom to top on what is working and get rid of players who arent; because if we bring in the exact same team next year we will not be going to the playoffs regardless of injuries
Its just the half day window before the expansion draft.....chill!
Plenty of time afterwards to make as many moves as we like.

I would be surprised if they are complacent. Given everything we’ve seen so far i’d expect a moderate about of change in the squad. Perhaps as much as we saw last season in terms of big pieces but also more of the depth players shuffled.
Urruti to the Impact for 75k, a first round pick and 50% of his transfer fee if he moves before the beginning of 2019 season
What a fucking steal we should have been in for that, I'm actually a little pissed off right now

“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

Should we also have been in on Akindele? I think maybe yes.
“What the world needs is more geniuses with humility; there are so few of us left.”
With a healthy squad Urruti would be a sub for us, but he's pretty expensive salary-wise. I don't know if that's a great fit.
Akindele is more interesting to me as a depth piece.
