What are the chances Giovinco isn’t with us at the start of the season?

The guy probably will get another football gig in an even shittier league and he will bomb out again because he has shown he can't learn from his mistakes or grow up.

As for the goodbye Tweets, these players (minus Ciman) were there last year and they saw him out there. They know he was loafer and not putting his all in. In fact if I were Mavinga I would have been more angry with him on the team because he was getting paid quite a bit more than me for floating around doing nothing. I'd feel the same if I were Auro, Delgado, Osorio (pre-new contract), Morrow, etc.

You want to talk about causing locker room unrest, one good way is by letting the "haves" that don't deserve what they're getting loaf around in front of the "have not" guys who were there for our 2017 trophies and gave their all every day to be in the squad and win. They can resent management too but they'd be sending cut eye lazy VDW's way first.
He’d be a perfect signing for Rangers - would fit in well with that group of miscreants. They already have Defoe - VDW would be icing in the cake.

Any agent in this situation should be doing due diligence and shopping him around but there would be more of a market for Seba in the summer including more options for a higher salary.

I don't know why people think clubs have reputations... it's generally the coaching staff and management that have reputations.

I'm pretty sure we had one as a club between 2010 and 2012 even with our large selection of coaches and staffs during that period.

    Just having offseason fun

    Here's my accurate-to-a-millimeter methodology

He could go to (broad buckets):

    - China
    - Saudi /Qatar
    - Mexico or Europe as depth (aka what Boateng just did at Barca).

But I figure he is five times as likely to stay as any one of those.

So 3 in 8 chance he leaves.

    This is a true statement.

It's fair to wonder what reputation Manning/Vanney are developing in the market (Manning was just a guardian for Leiweke strategy until now)

Disagree. China is on the same March-November schedule we are.

Question is whether this has all been left too late for anything to happen. I kind of hope so.

Vazquez left at what was supposedly five times the salary, so anything is possible. The summer market is generally stronger though as Og said. And his agent should definitely be kicking the tires, more seriously now than he has in the past.

He'll get 10x the interest in the summer from the Schalkes and Sassuolos of the world, but in terms of do-re-mi?

That's China and the Middle East.

China's league schedule is same as ours. For Middle East (and maybe China too), Asian Champions league is what matters most, and that starts in March.

    Now is the time.

Matt Miazga to Reading on loan for rest of season.

Still think a Fabian Johnson type player is who we might be looking at.

Looks like rather than it being the quiet off-season like it would have been under Bez, Curtis is imposing his "lower cost" model rather quickly.

The question has to be asked if this is Curtis' initiative or if Manning was already inclined this way? If the latter, it may have been a factor (just one) in Bez's decision to leave.

I didn't really want the team blown up right now, I would have preferred one more season, even if last year was a bust. However, it is good business to get something for our DPs now.

This worries me. We are still only a few pieces away from the greatest MLS team ever, dismantling it now seems nuts. Unless of course we are aiming to bring in some big talent.

Yes, I'm aware how reactionary my post is lol

do you know if the hagglund trade was something Bez started or.all.Curtis .

An old teammate of mine is back living in Saudi - he says the team being spoken about has a shit ton of money.

What happened to the stability mantra? We won’t have enough players for 7 aside scrimmages at the training camp at this rate! We need at least 4 top signings now.

Just read a tweet saying D'Amico wants Seba's contract terminated. No transfer fee. Good fucking luck.
