he is slow, but not too slow for his position
if he models himself after someone like William Carvalho, he would be very effective. He would also need to grow a stache

Having heard Vanney again this weekend on the TSN soccer pod, he wants to eventually move away from the 2 man front - can't do it with Seba & Jozy but that is the future plan.

Fraser is a DM option in a future 4-2-3-1 set up - beside a faster stronger player DM like Okello, Fraser has a role as a deeplying playmaker.

Mavinga & Morgan have decent speed. That's about it minus maybe our super draft picks & Okello (because I have no idea).

Plus VdW. Auro. Morrow. Jozy. Seba. Hamilton. We are missing a Raheem. Explosive pace on the touch line.

Maybe Auro of all them but he never really showed it. I forgot about him though as well as Telfer. The rest aren't what I would consider fast. Haven't seen Giovinco outrun anyone since 2016. No one else is explosive though.

I really don’t know if I consider any of those names fast. Edwards and Auro have pace suitable for their position but I don’t think of as being that fast. Jozy has a decent top speed for a big guy. Seba not as fast as he was and Hamilton and Morrow I would define as average. VDW i’d say is slower than average but then again, with current events maybe we can question if we’ve ever seen top speed.

Vanney responded by saying “instead of pouting, why don’t try and give 30% this season?” Gregory told him he will be fired before the end of this season.

TFC sent him home. Vanney told the team the next day that someone is missing. He has an attitude problem, and it will be dealt with.

This doesn’t shock me. I heard something along the lines of this last year, but he got into it with Bradley. His contract is to big to move. Maybe a candidate to a buy out next season?
WTF? That's very disappointing on GVW's part.

Regarding the contract situations of our DPs, I can't say I blame Manning for taking a wait and see approach based on the dollars involved. They are all going to decline from this point onward and are likely expecting contract extensions within the same range as their current contracts. If I was the GM, I wouldn't do it either.

If they were all willing to take substantial pay cuts it would make sense for the club but that's not going to happen with the various overseas options available.

Gio will just move into Vasquez roam free role.

Right now a 4-2-3-1 would look like this, that could morf into a 5-3-1 with Auro and Morrow as the wingbacks, and Deleon tucking inside (which also could switch for Delgado):

    --------------------Jozy--------------------
    Deleon----------Gio----------------Auro
    ----------Bradley------Osorio-----------
    Morrow--Mavinga--Ciman--VdW

Based on this, our team is not really at full strength in this formation.

    Fuhgeddabbouddit. That formation is DOA.

Gio will not play anything but striker in a contract year.

    This^

We've been through this already. Seba is only ever going to play striker.

Unless there is actually a valid source, and I didn't see any unless I missed it, it is just speculation that this even happened so no use getting too disappointed with the player based on this. Regarding his social media or on the field play...have at it.

    We shall see.

If Vanney said he's playing with 1 striker, who do you think that would be. Plus as we al know Gio isn't great as a lone striker.

That's 100% but if I was the FO, us resigning him would depend on his willingness to accept that role going forward, for real. Not like when he was an AM when we signed him but he never actually played it here ever.

I agree with this. I also think Seba would do anything we asked once a new deal was agreed upon. He has previously adjusted his game several times to fit the team before.

I don't know if this is real or not but:

    Jame Coban (@JameCoban)

I'm told Nick Hagglund has been traded by Toronto FC to his hometown team, FC Cincinnati. #TFClive #FCCincy #MLS

    He's not that bad.

If he has a bounce back year and returns to 2017 form, that would be perfectly fine, as it was then.

250k and top allocation spot coming our way again...let the rumours begin. We would seem to have a ton of cash to splash.

Yeah happy for Hagglund, and hopefully we got a good amount of money for him. Didn't really have a future here so at least he gets to go back to his hometown.

The return is 150k in GAM, 100k TAM and the 1st spot in the allocation order. That's pretty good IMO.

Damm. Sad to see him go but that's a hell of a return.
