I've known that since he came here. He was okay for 4 years because he was the highest paid player in MLS. I knew the Zlatan deal would spark this.

Getting tired of the bullshit from Seba and his agent.

He was moaning the year before during the China inquiry. Goes and talks about a Bologna offer, and now this. You know who is in the same predicament and hasn't shat all over the organization? Bradley.

If you are not convinced that this guy is Captain TFC - this should be the thing that changes your mind.
I've said it since the whole bandage head game - this is the type of captain that thrives in Toronto.

You don't need a superstar to lead your team, he just needs to be a leader.

With that being said, We need players like giovinco - those players make your team shine and are a must have. You just don't make them your captain

Eric G seems to be up on the tweeters discussion today

Eric G tends to operate the TFC twitter handle - if you've seen the TFC TV segments, he's been in a few.

Its about time, there's been a serious lack of communication and updates from front office and training. I think most people are just frustrated of the unknown.

I just picked up my phone after lunch and read all this sh*t show. Wow.

Does indicate though, that a player has bargaining leverage too. It’s not just “oh he’s not worth more than $2.5 million”. He is worth what the market says. Plus we should want Seba Bradley and I think Jozy to play out their careers here. We were awesome for a year and then virtually untouchable for another 15 months and then ran out of gas. These players can still do it - with a right back and some pace on the wing. Personally, I think it’s a false economy to try to save a couple of million on each of Jozy and Seba and go through the crapshoot of some new player who could easily end not fitting in - to the team, or the league. On the length of a contract I agree TFC need to stick their heels in but I sure hope we resign our core.

Such a roller coaster of emotions today. I am glad Seba is staying for the interim, but the rumours and departure of VV and VdW seem to highlight the discontent in locker room and FO from last year.

As much as I love Jozy he's always hurt and getting older will likely make that worse. Giovinco will be 32 tomorrow, how many more seasons will he have before he declines. Why do a large portion soccer players have to always whine and cry about everything. You signed a contract, shut up and play.

I don't know about you guys but I'm annoyed Giovinco was not extended by now. I'm not buying the low-cost future, one way or another they better spend. The stadium was just renovated and MLSE is loaded, they spend and earn hundreds of millions of dollars every year. It's not like minor transfer money or a 2-year extension is a big deal either way.

Jozy is only 29 and still in his peak. He's our most clutch player scoring in almost every playoff, CCL game and both finals. Not to mention him and Seba have the best striker partnership the league has ever had. Lastly, past 2 years he said in an interview he's been playing with broken bone fragments in his foot. This offseason he finally had all remaining pieces removed and he feels great. Definitely dont move Jozy if you can.

I would definitely be open to extending all of our DPs, but I don't blame management for trying to be prudent financially. Let's face it, they are not worth their current salaries on long term deals.

If Seba and Jozy in particular can get that kind of money elsewhere beyond next season, all the power to them. At most, I would offer them all a 2-3 year contract extension at about a 50% paycut.

Now that the threat of them leaving is very real, I want them back. I believe they still have it in them to compete. I understand the Atlanta model is attractive, but before they were the team to beat, that was us.

about Jozy.....if he has in fact been playing with broken bones in his foot for around 2 years as he says, I assuming from that the pressure he could put on that foot was limited.....when that happens you start to overcompensate in order to get by, which is sometimes (not always) ok for a regular person, but certainly not ok for an athlete. If he says he's 100% now, this is where is fitness can be judged.....

More reason to wait to see if he can play a full season before extending.

Possibly....but by doing that they run the risk of losing their window.....

These players need a muzzle, so much whining its getting unbearable.

I think they know they are not going to get the money they want, and trying anything to get the fans turned on TFC.

I thing Manning and Curtis are smarter than that.

yes but in that same article he also says: “I’m a villain in my own country, and I accept it, it’s fine,” he says, then cracks: “I’m moving to Canada. Whether I stay there or not, I’m buying a house there, and that’s that.”

As much as they're "whining", they're just exploring other opportunities, and frankly we would still be a league laughing stock without them.
