As a quick refresher from a few pages back here is the allocation order and eligible players:

    https://www.mlssoccer.com/allocation

Of course, this doesn't necessarily mean one of these players will be signed. We could hold the spot ransom for some more TAM/GAM should another team want to dip into that pool.

Extra info from FCC press release on their website.

"Should Toronto FC trade the No. 1 Allocation Ranking for allocation money, FC Cincinnati will receive half of the acquired allocation money. In addition, should FC Cincinnati trade Hagglund prior to the close of the 2019 primary transfer window, it will send an additional $50,000 in General Allocation Money in 2020."

Interesting. Maybe some assurances to each team and player in case some hidden agendas occur.

Wow, huge hall back. Gotta think TFC has had someone for a while for the top allocation spot. 250k allocation is a lot. Great deal for us. I’ll never forget that Montreal game in the playoffs, or that weirdo 4-4 game against DC United this past season, where he scored twice.

But Hagglund was the worst passing CB in the league. Great in the air, okay at 1v1 defending. I’ll take that return any day of the week.

It essentially gives us right of first refusal on any player listed here: https://www.mlssoccer.com/allocation

If one of these players want to sign with an MLS team, we are first in line. What this means in practice is either we can freely sign one of those players, or if they are signing with another MLS team, that team will have to trade us assets first to acquire the top slot.

We traded for the first slot previously this offseason to acquire Ciman, who was on the allocation list.

would this also include let's say if Bayern wanted to loan out one Alphonso Davies back to MLS?

So dating back to December in total we got

    Ciman + 150k GAM + 100 TAM + current top allocation spot

Gave up Hagglund + 2nd round pick + 75k GAM + 75k TAM + the then 6th spot (now 5th) in allocation order

    So in total

    Outgoing
    Hagglund
    2nd round pick (30th)

    Incoming
    Ciman
    75k GAM
    25k TAM
Moving up 4 spots to the top of AlloOrder.

No need for Miazga with Ciman here.

If those vdW stories are true, Fabian Johnson would be tailor made to play RB/RWB in our system.... and is legit depth at striker. Kind of like a supercharged Hasler.... he has done it in the Bundesliga and would be a domestic.

It's being called the worst deal ever. There is no way Nick is worth half a million in allocation (if the top allocation spot is worth 250k)

Cincinnati is in MLS1.0 valuation. They acquired a total of 10 draft picks and blew a huge chunk of allocation to get them. They don't get the importance of allocation.

Heck, they gave up the top allocation spot (Ciman) for a second round pick.

Now they gave it up again (player TBD) for a backup CB.

Very good. Especially the signal we have another allocation player coming.

Cincy bought those draft picks and then didn't use a couple of them.

I thought GVW was being moved based on your "sources" info.

Does your "source" have any more insight to the situation?

No but he’s not been at training since the incident, which you can see in all the photos/videos. I don’t know what “sources” are suppose to mean, if you trying to be sarcastic. I’ll just say the person has broken a lot of stuff before, and witnessed the argument in person. So, unless my “source” has decided to start lying to me, than I’ll believe what he tells me.

A creative mid and a striker would be so ideal right now. Wonder if we can get back Edwards as well.

Makes tons of sense. Apparently wanted to come to Cinncianti before. Can playing any spot out wide. Checks a lot of boxes.

The friendly tonight is a 3 period game. Usually TFC announces the squad changes as things go along. There might be other reasons to hold him out but this would be the first verified lack of a sighting.

Apologies if I made it seem like I thought the story was fabricated. He just posted that he’s on a flight back to Toronto a few minutes ago. If all is true here his days with TFC are done 100%
