    YES. Unfortunately, yes.

To be fair to Boyd, this season Darmstadt is a really bad team they are 4 points off the bottom of the table. Bad coaching maybe, not the right fit for him I guess. I hope he finds his new home a positive one for his career thus making it a positive one for the Red.

If Boyd can take up defender's attention, he's an upgrade.

Fair way of looking at it. 200k doesn’t get you much up top these days. If he’s MLS workman like up top, it’s worth it.

Same thing with Sofiane Hanni from Spartak.
To be optimistic, Giovinco posted pictures of him in TFC gear in the days leading up to his exit.

But can he run really fast and accidentally fall at the right moment to bungle a ball into the net?

It’s good that we have people on this board doing the research that our media doesn’t. Thanks for the updates.

He is a 32 year old midfielder playing for West Brom in the Championship. I highly doubt they would want him

Just was looking at the FB announcement of the Boyd signing, man there are a lot assholes who don't have a clue why Boyd was signed. Most think he is the replacement for Seba. It is quite maddening

James Morrison would be a Cheyrou type team player with 311 games played in EPL 33 goals and 37 assists mostly for West Brom not the greatest of teams. I for one would entertain this idea because I think he is a leader and a vet. 700k would be fine. Possible for a TAM which we have. He is an expiring contract in June

Don’t get too excited. The only link between the two were this:

Obviously a good portion of the Italian community would have known of him but did that extend outside of that community? With that being said, the Italian community is large in Toronto and his arrival would have excited quite a few people.
Honestly don't think many outside of Italian and World football community knew who he was. Even then we knew he was good and but didn't know exactly how he'd fair here. Chances were high he'd do well but no one can see into the future. Think for Italians and people who knew Seba he was a draw and secondarily it was cuz they were winning.

They were terrible. Didn't have a lot of money and made some poor hirings in management

I also just don't get some people, it was so obvious that Terrance was not a replacement for Seba. He will be filling the role Tos had. If the Reds get more out of him that than great. He really was a player on the rise prior to the injury. Definitely rooting for him.

    So, yeah, research ....

One angle I have been wondering about - players who have wives or or other connections to Toronto or places nearby.

As a for instance, I guarantee you that Christian Fuchs will wind up in MLS this summer, his contract is up and his wife and kids live in New York.

    Anyone know of any others?

Anyone know when Liam Millar's loan with Kilmarnock expires?

Maybe we can convince Liverpool to loan him to us instead.

I’d be throwing the DP spot at a player like Higuain or a younger Vasquez and use the TAM spots for the strikers. Unless of course the right player is available.

Are there any rumours about contract extensions for Bradley and Altidore. IMO in addition to the new signings - we have to find a way to make deals with them to settle thing for a decent season.

In the flurry of reports last week, somebody said both have been sent offers. When that happened, was there prior asks by the player's agents, what the offers were, what was the reaction....

Why do we have Jon Bakero on the roster? His international spot is probably worth more than he is.

I hope Boyd is fit. He will be under the microscope right away as he will need to deliver in CCL.

If a DP is signed, he's just a stop gap to get us to the home game / Jozy fit. If no DP is signed, the microscope would be firmly on Manning/Curtis.
