Look at those charts and see where Jozy is.

(Last year's goal scoring across the league was anomaly compared to years before - we'll see if it continues.)

I have no clue why people don't think Jozy is a good consistent goal scorer.

I think it's more useful to look at the list of players who have averaged the same number of goals over the same number of seasons that Jozy has played.

You need to adjust for PKs btw. Has Jozy taken more than one or two here ?

You mean you don't want Terrence Boyd launching it 7 feet over the net

I am confused, I inferred this was a dead end?

I think everyone agrees he is, when he plays. But his bottom line output over the course of a season after suspensions injuries and call ups have taken their toll is mid to upper MLS level. He's clearly better than that as a player when fit and good to go, but over a season that's what he'll give you if his first four seasons with us are what you judge him on.

The worry here is purely opportunity cost. I'm delighted to see Jozy still with us, however, with TFCs DP budget and the markets they shop for DPs in, what else could we do with this slot? And I'd suggest the average return of the average player TFC could have in this slot is higher than 11 goals a season

Were not going to have 20 pages of over analysis as to whether or not re-signing Jozy was a good move or not are we,

Is this referencing the S*n article where pursuit of Hanni was written in the past tense? If so, they’ve got it wrong. We’ve already discussed his in this thread already... he’d be a DP and plays the same position as Pozo.

Several French language papers reported on this yesterday, but you are probably correct.

Jozy was a Seb Frei ballhair away from having two MLS Cup winning goals. He is the guy that you want for the big games. He is in the prime of his career. His injuries from last year are behind him. This is a great move and a real sign of intent from the organization.

Maybe Hanni hates Russia and TFC can steal him on a tam deal like VV.? Wishful thinking

Apparently. We should be celebrating. He scored the winning goal for our champions. And let’s remember, he was the number two striker to Gio. Real potential here as the number one. Almost like a new signing in some ways

We won't. Only because this thread is going to be closed very soon as the off-season is ending.

Otherwise it would easily go over 20 pages.

What else could it be honestly. The more you watch the leagues that Seba & VV moved to the more you know why they chose them.

    Yes, I second that.

I've only seen a small amount of Poz video, but I feel very optimistic about how he and Jozy will combine this year.

Galaxy could be forced to buy out Alessandrini today. Which could make him available on a free as a TAM player ....

Why wouldn't he be able to get a DP contract in MLS? Or just go somewhere else and make more than 1.5 million.

Not to be outdone by Vazquez, Seba steps up and scores a brace today for Al Hilal.
