Default Match Day 18 - TFC @ SKC Saturday July 7 8:30pm I'm falling down I need to sleep

    I'm falling down
    I need to sleep
    Come a long long way
    No time for weepin
    No time for weepin
    Quiet now I'm falling down
    I'm falling down
    I have heard
    A million tales
    I have told
    A million more
    Some of them
    Must have been true
    But I don't know anymore
    I'm falling down
Do your dance on my head
    Heavy steps of the dead
    Everything the snow surrounds
    Falling, falling, falling, falling
    Falling, falling down
    I'm falling down
    **************

It doesn't matter. TFC is again the team that other teams use to get wins against when they are down.
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto

After last night I am afraid to watch this one. They may surprise me but I expect another decisive L in this one. Our mojo is gone and until we start getting some bodies back I don't see that changing.

What I'm afraid of is that even when we'll get all the bodies back, we'll go from a team winning about 25% of all their games to an average team, winning half of their games.

I would love a point, but with the way TFC are playing, I am expecting a loss against SKC.

Russia has a better chance of winning the World Cup than these clowns getting a result in this game, I’m thinking 4-0 for SKC by half time , 5-2 the final for SKC, thank God for the World Cup quarters this weekend to get my mind of this sad sack team.

I think TFC will dominate and win. We are overdue.

Maybe overdue in the Richard Peddie 'soccer is cyclical' kinda way but certainly not overdue in terms of the effort that has been put forth lately. I really hope these guys wake up.

SKC is second in the west. I would be shocked (pleasantly) if we get a result.

On paper, I think that we should. But the reality is that we are not performing up to that level due to various issues that likely cannot be solved in a few days.

It's not an “on paper” thing.

Just a sense that life isn’t black or white, things aren’t as bad or as good as they look.

We are due some mean reversion. Doesn’t mean that if we win we have “turned a corner” and are marching straight back to the Final quite yet.

We probably could have won the last game were it not for Irwin's terrible goalkeeping errors. I mean, what the hell was that about?

Irwin didn't use his feet properly but Keepers also rely upon defenders to pressure at least a little bit. At some point, you have to stand up players heading at your goal. Can't back off forever.

I'll be happy if the team isn't scored on in the first 20 minutes.... within 5 minutes of the second half and they can avoid two goal inside 10 minutes of each other. There is a 50-50 chance of that. Of course Toronto has gotten all but 2 of the points they have this season from games where one of those three things didn't happen.

If they come on the pitch work hard to stop the initial pressure, do the same second half and stay alert after a goal is scored against, the boys could actually win. That is sadly a BIG if.

I'm sensing a win today. This will be a tough match but TFC will pull through and it will start to turn the season around for them.

Hope they can avoid giving up an early goal, if they can anything is possible.

Strong side we're putting out today, who knows if we win this maybe we can make the playoffs and then win the cup again

Fraser getting a start. Going to be a narrow attack but hopefully there are more outlets for Bradley - I fully expect SKC to press Bradley hard, just like everybody else has done this season.

That's the spirit! Need to start a roll..then adding Vazquez, Altidore and Mavinga and possibly Moor back should solidify our playoff spot.

This one is good, if you don't mind the US commentary. Adblocker suggested though.

Sorry, if TFC doesn't wise up quick, I expect 3 or 4 goals against.

Why does this team allow the same mistakes over & over again, often multiple times per game & between games? E.g. Zavaleta's passing is off since he came back from injury. He should not be allowed to make difficult or long passes for now. 80% turnover rate on those. Just one of many examples.

This is great stuff tactically. We have two defensive central mids and both Delgado and osorio are being asked to do what they did best last year. Not always pretty but it is helping plug the gaps.

Hamilton has been fantastic so far. Hope he is rewarded for his efforts.
