Laser pointers - urine bags - fire alarms in the hotel - wouldn't be CONCACAF without it.

Well at least the Reds will be getting an early start in that Mexico City elevation of 2,250 meters. Spoke with a few of the guys who did not dress this evening on the concourse and the Reds are heading down on Thursday. This should let them acclimate and be ready for next Tuesday. Plus America does have a road game this weekend in league play at Necaxa.

I actually find this a bit fascinating. I mean, I've never heard of anything like this before. I wonder if this had been planned a while in advance, or if they suspect something fishy might have been going on and so wanted to bring in a total outsider ...?

I feel bad for whatever Asian teams have to suffer through CONCACAF refereeing

I am definitely curious to see if there is visible difference in style with the ref in our next game and how that might affect the tempo.

Based on my calculations the probability of us getting through to the next round is around 80-85%
if we had of held them scoreless the probability would have gone up to 98% wow

They give quite a bit of credit to Morgan for his performance, especially on the play for the 3rd goal.

Wish I could understand it. What was the overall sentiment by the guys in the panel?

How many people will likely attend the game vs. TFC, mid-week? I wonder how the other recent CCL games for CA were attended?

I can't understand. Does anybody know enough Spanish to give us the gist of the discussion? It sounded like a more serious and less heated discussion compared to the Tigres post-mortem. All I could pick up is I think they admire Giovinco and maybe that Herrera shouldn't have said that stuff about Mexico looking to Europe than MLS?

I was wondering the same thing. It is a big stadium but will people show up for this game to try to make it intimidating for TFC? For the quarterfinal Tauro game at Azteca when I looked at the highlights it looked fairly empty with large covers on alot of the sections. Maybe a bunch of people were on the TV camera side. Didn't look too intimidating to me. Tigres stadium looked way more intimidating.

Well they are averaging just over 25K.

They got 66K and 56K in the Azteca for the first legs against Herediano in the semis and Montreal in the finals, respectively, in 2015. Both games on a Wednesday.

TFC have a lot more star power than Montreal or Herediano did.

btw in the semis that year, America got beat away at Herediano 3-0 in the first leg.... then waxed the Costa Ricans 6-0 in the second leg at the Azteca.

Yes - this isn't Mexico in a World Cup or Gold Cup game. 100,000 mid week week for a game vs a Canadian team? Maybe they get 40? Which could still feel fairly empty.

lol this looks funny i can't understand a lick...but i can tell there was one Club America fan in the panel and they are clowning him for it especially by the one standing up. BTW if anyone can translate the part where they were talking about the Police...and the comments made by both coaches. Thanks

According to the transfermarket link above they were getting 35k avg in 2015 vs 25k now, so maybe interest is down in general?

I still think it will be pretty big. Jealous of those who have booked tickets to go!

btw Seattle tied them at home, then took the lead at the Azteca, before the roof caved in.

Escorted by riot police! Not sure to think if that's cool or not.

I think the strategy for this game is to go all out and go toe to toe. We better be going guns blazing than bunkering, I just wish we had Vasquez carving them open for this.
