Fully expected Concacaf-y shit to happen at the end. Just hoped it was close enough to the end of the game to gut it out. It was.

1st leg is April 3 and 2nd leg April 10. They have 3 weeks to get healthy. I'm guessing, that since Club America will cruise to the semi's, than Toronto 1st leg and Mejico - 2nd leg.

Something is special. When Altidore is off, Giovinco steps up. When Giovinco is off, Altidore steps up.

Probably the best opponent and atmosphere to get a sense of what to expect at Azteca, especially in comparison to a toothless Xolos side (reserving judgement on Chivas).

Most wins or ties over the first 4 games of this tournament. We have 9 points (that damn penalty) - Club America has 7 going into tomorrow.

In essence, if we want home field advantage, we need Tauro to somehow tie or beat them in the Azteca. Doubtful.

Just reading the CONCACAF rules, it says the "team that has the better record" in the quarter finals gets dibs on home field last in the next round, so I'm guessing they'll rule first by GA and Goals Scored, so unless, Tauro FC scores 4 goals in Panama, I expect Club America to add to there tally and have the 2nd leg in Mejico.

According to wiki: ‘Order of legs to be decided, with the semi-finalists in each tie which have the better performance in previous rounds hosting the second leg.’

Most likely it will be Club America hosting the second leg. They are up 4-0 going into the next game.

I dunno if my heart can take another 2nd leg like this one, away at Azteca lol

Very very proud of the way our lads battled tonight in a very hostile arena. Great for Toronto and Canadian football ! I thought the ref did a brilliant job.

If Bradley gets a goal like the last time he played in Azteca, I'll be happy. This team was built to play in places like that.

This competition is so tough to win. Beating two or three top Mexican clubs is a tough ask but TFC is ready for the challenge. They took a big step forward tonight.

In the off season speculation thread I said we’d get thrashed.

God was I wrong. And God do I apologize for underestimating our side.

Wow! What an achievement. Well done TFC!!!

Im a little disappointed we didn’t win the match given the way the game went and how well we took the few chances that came our way, whilst defending so solidly for 80-odd minutes. However, there can be no doubt Mavinga being forced off took its toll in the last ten minutes, so I’ve no right to be disappointed. We’ve just witnessed a massive, masssive achievement by TFC, perhaps even the best victory in our history. In my opinion Tigres were not only Mexican champs, but the best side in the country, if not the region, over recent years. They truly are a first class side, with an attacking line up that would give any team problems. So to not only overcome them over two legs but look the better side doing it is a triumph we should treasure.

I really hope the injuries to Morrow and Mavinga are not serious. They are two very important players in our side and we could really struggle without them. However we have three weeks to get everyone fit again before the next chapter in this excellent adventure.

    Onwards and upwards TFC!!!

Overall great game by TFC. Great coaching decision to go with the guys that won the first leg.
What I didn't get was why Vasquez was subbed on....he's a liability defensively when 100%. He was trotting on the field as if he played the whole game. Thought Hasler or even Aketxe would've been better to solidify the end of the game.
