Mavinga has a sports hernia. Vanney has indicated it will be sorted out at the right time of the season - i.e. as soon as the CCL is done. IIRC, likely 6-8 week recovery time. He'd be back in August.

I haven't seen that announced anywhere. Bad news. We'll miss him.

So by that you mean managing it until the competition is over for us and then surgery, right? So he could perhaps still play if we move on?

I don't know how many of you have had this before but I have. I would say it can be quite risky to play him because you can make it worse at any time. I guess it depends on the severity of the tear. I know when mine was giving me pain I was could not do anything physical since pain would shoot down my leg and basically knock me on my ass. I also rushed my recovery and starting getting active too early and re-injured it. My doctor cleared me but I guess he didn't have patients getting back into weightlifting right after recovery. In the end it never healed 100% after that. I get it flaring up now and again when I strain that area too much. I think they should just let him get it fixed and not take any chances and have him back for the last half of the season. If he plays there is a chance he goes down hard and has more of an emergency repair of possibly a bigger issue. Just my two cents. I am sore just thinking about it.

    No one knows.

    No one can possibly know.

It's not even worth speculating about.

They need to open the books for proper transparency and to improve fan participation.

There was a quote from Vanney in this article, but perhaps the paperwork for Hernandez isn't done yet.

Daniels, Dunn and Telfer signed to first team deals.
Toronto FC announced Friday that the club has signed midfielder Aidan Daniels, defender Julian Dunn and midfielder/forward Ryan Telfer. Daniels and Dunn become the 17th and 18th Homegrown players to sign first team deals from the Academy. In addition, they become the fifth and sixth players to complete the full player pathway designed at Toronto FC.

He's only able if he's on an MLS deal that no one knows about.

He is currently on a USL deal so would have been needed to sign an MLS one in order to play. When they signed the three yesterday from TFCII he may have been in consideration. Tim would also take up an international spot. In my eyes if they wanted to sign him they would have as they could have easily moved him back to the USL to open up the spot.

I've heard TFC still have Endoh in camp, so I would be surprised if they signed Kubel before Endoh.

Endoh has been here since the pre-season, saw him with the rest of the players who did not dress at the CA game, might be waiting on him to be able to get residency here thus not counting as an international.

How? I'm not familiar enough with the roster rules to know what mechanism they can use.

Horrible reporting. In the TFC announcement it makes no mention of Mitch being loaned to TFC II. Mitch Taintor is on loan to the first team. He's in Houston. TFC II has more than enough center backs for a temporary loan.

Actually, it does.. also Mitch Plays in Sacramento he signed with them in January.

TFC also announced that taking Miño’s spot on the USL team for a brief spell will be Mitchell Taintor, who they’ve brought into TFC II on loan from Sacramento Republic FC. Taintor played most of last season with TFC II, captaining the side in 2017.

    the reporting isn’t horrible.

Mitch was loaned to the first team not the USL side.
