He said hi to what? His new team? OMG. Haha. Good ol' social media drama.

We’ve got all the leverage in this Giovinco contract situation. I’m not even worried.

That’s fantastic news. I thought we would have issues keeping him at home.

Even if he leaves, this ensures a solid return in a transfer fee. Good for us either way.

He was severely underpaid compared to the rest of the squad. Europe has been lurking, great that he says he wants to stay here though!

Was a great pick in that draft!

This probably does signal the end of Irwin's tenure here is approaching though. Can't really be paying two keepers starter-level salaries.

especially since we Picked up the best GK in the USL last year to be the #3 at this point. I think Irwin's time is coming, sadly. He's a great guy and been a great servant to the club.

Great that Bono is staying but I do feel bad for Irwin. His time at the club is running out now. He has been an absolute professional through it all and I hope he lands a starting job somewhere. Maybe Cincy in the expansion draft that is surely coming in December.

Expansion draft! Ugh. Makes zero sense. Especially when teams joining the league already exist and have rosters.

If Cincinnati played a year in MLS with their current roster they probably wouldn't win a game. Established teams can afford the chance of giving a bench player to give incoming teams. Really isn't the end of the world.

I would actually like to see someone interview Vanney about Spencer.
What did he see last year, what didn’t happen for him? Why not just keep him on USL roster?
I don’t totally understand TFC development philosophy.

This season he was essentially on trial for 2 games against Houston & Colorado & seems to have not done the job.

This has opened up a spot on the senior roster but we don't have much cap space - there has been talk of Endoh gaining non-international status so who knows.

With Moor's career potentially over, I'd be shocked if they weren't finding a way to become cap compliant to bring in a CB. Considering; not doing that would cost us largely. How likely this is under MLS rules I'm not sure.

The moment he gets fit they should trade him. Also move Irwin, Ricketts and Oso (if they're not going to sign him to a deal).

Moor was on the field for training today - it will still take a bit of time still but his season is not over.

As for trading him - we need his mind back there to settle down things. Zavs & Hagglund are not mature enough yet.

Even before the injury, he was showing serious signs of regression though. I said it near the start of the season and I'll say it again Hagglund>Moor.

Don't underestimate Moor's ability to organize and direct the back line. He's lost a step but I think I still prefer him over Hagglund and Zavaleta because of the calming presence he seems to provide.

Don't know why we even re-signed Spencer in the first place.

He's way too slow to survive in a back 4, he barely gets away with it in a back 3 imo

I agree with that, I had a 3-5-2 in mind with that comment. I think Mavinga-Moor-VdW is our theoretical best look.

I'm not so sure. I think it was important when we had slightly above average players next to him in 2016 (Hagglund, Zavaleta), but with Mavinga and VdW they can handle themselves well enough. I'd still play Hagglund over Moor.

Same with Q. Maybe Spencer has found a team and asked for the release, but on the surface it’s odd

Yep, releasing him is two fold, opens up both an overall spot on the roster and gives the Reds the ability to sign an international player. Mino was always a stop gap guy. Makes you wonder with the July window about to open does Bez have something cooking?

What a bad day for Mino. Gets cut and then a couple hours later watches his home country Argentina get eliminated in the World Cup.

What are the odds we re-up him on a TFC2 deal like we originally signed him to?
