I am definitively NOT saying this has a chance of happening, but ... it really wouldn't surprise me if Bez at least expressed interest in, or made a bid for, Cristiano Ronaldo.

MLSE have the money ... I believe they would at least take a chance.

Um, Bez has a boss, and his boss has a boss.

Who is going to be able to explain to the MLSE board why anyone at TFC would spend 5 seconds thinking about a player who was a $100M+ transfer cost and makes $40M a year?

I think Bez is trying to keep his job, not lose it.

Ronaldo to Beckham's Miami makes sense.

Yeah, I was going to say

When he's 36, Ronaldo might be looking for new pastures to get playing time & Juve willing to let him go - but no way I'd want a 36 year old Ronaldo.

We don't need to sell tickets and we need a team of men like Bradley said before. Getting somebody like Ronaldo goes 100% against that. I don't believe for one second that when and if he comes to MLS that he will one of the players who 'buy in' to the league.

One of those times when solemn heads pause for a moment over their coffee, beer, coke, or incredibly expensive bottle of Henny & say

"Its all for the best, I suppose"

Should also note that Marca claiming a loan with an option to buy. That would mean TFC would only get cap relief for the amount of Aketxe's salary that Cadiz agreed to pay. #TFCLive

Money thrown on the fire. Hope they learned from this.

Ouch. That hurts. So they’re going to be on the hook on the cap for someone not even playing here. They must have someone ready on their radar already. I’m assuming a CB

Good that Bez is not sitting on a lost cause hoping for a miracle... but this was quite the swing and miss.

Good riddance. I'm sure he'd be good on some teams but he was a poor fit for TFC. Like Gilberto, a rare bust for TFC.

I assume his salary with Cadiz will not count against the cap for 2018, so i hope we get half of the 1.3 million to spend.

I think Mista is a fair comparison. And you’re right, at least Gilberto worked for the team.

Mista was like having a relationship go bad when you are 15.

Aketxe is more like being in your 30s & going to a wedding & having a cool cousin you were looking forward to finally meeting and they turn out to just not be all that interesting.

Yeah, if that cool cousin came to work with you, asked for a 2-year advance, and flipped you the bird after 3.5 months.

Aketxe on a number of occasions had very nearly scored on some outstanding strikes from outside the box. What could have been had he sunk a couple of those and built off that success. Either way, I think its best he leaves as well.

We would get GAM from from from an eventual Aketxe sale wouldn't we? So cap relief now with a kicker in the future

ive never gone to a wedding hoping to meet a cousin so I'm not sure how to feel about this but when it comes to Mista it's easier to think of it as a one night stand--goal and assist vs Cruz Azul

Wow I completely missed that haha.

I think the Axetex situation is more like Kantari's.

Mista was one of the worst DP signings in MLS history. Only Denilson was worse. Nothing this management has done is even close.

With his unpronounceable name, he will be easily forgotten. Hope this motivates Delgado, who has been crap all season. Perhaps it is time to move him as well
