Lol. I'm gonna put down $1000 on him getting a red card his first game.

How old is this dude now? 35? 36?
This is a MLS 2.0 type signing, when MLS was a typical retirement league for some bigger names.
Galaxy is late with about 8 years, lol...
Ibra doesn't seem the kind of player who would adapt well to all the MLS bs. Has all the indications of being a working vacation for him. He'll love getting on TMZ once in a while but running around on a shitty field in Houston in 95 F temp and 95% humidity? Nah.
We shall see. Drogba showed signs he would have been fairly effective if he had not come so late.
$3 million over 2 years with a TAM contract? $1 million a year in TAM is a heck of a lot.
LAG are due here Sept 15. Lets see if Ibra bothers to do the travel. I still remember all the Stevie G people wondering where he was that one game.
Mixed bag this one, he's bound to get bums on seats both in Carson and on the road - I for one would love to see him play - it just remains to be seen how many opportunities there will be to see him. However, it does reinforce the negative perception as MLS being something of an elephants' graveyard.
If only Tyrone Marshall were still a CB in this league.
"There are some people who might have better technique than me, and some may be fitter than me, but the main thing is tactics. With most players, tactics are missing. You can divide tactics into insight, trust, and daring." - Johan Cruyff
I was conflating two stories!
Yes, that one, plus the time Tyrone Marshall broke Kenny Cooper's leg.
Actually, vdW may fill the role just fine

when is he eligible to actually play for them.
LAG are advertising April 8 9pm home game vs. SKC.
The derby vs. LAFC the week before is sold out but they might throw him in that game just for the hype.
Oh my Lord this is good

Apparently LAG would have done the deal a year ago but for that knee injury. Puts a different light on the Galaxy's 2017 season.
Major League Soccer once again sets the trend in the North American landscape as the youngest and most diverse among the big five professional sports leagues. From its current pool of 641 players, a league-record 73 countries are represented (as determined by birthplace), while MLS players hold an average age of 26.18 years, more than a year younger than the next closest North American sports league.

I know Zlatan will make that team better just by how deadly he is around goal, but I can't help but wonder if he won't just become a huge distraction or if the LA lifestyle gets a little too cozy for him. I can't wait to see his reaction the first time that asshat Penso cards him for something ridiculous.
California seems to be the place
LAFC has signed Andre Horta.
LAFC will be a great surprise this year, just like how Atlanta United was last year. What makes it more remarkable is he only TWENTY-ONE!!!!!
Horta will be able to hold the ball and look for perfect openings and can squeeze the ball through tight ones.
