Cheyrou will remain with the team to work with its academy.

I am blessed to finish my career with the Treble and I am very proud of that,” said Cheyrou in a press release. “I would like to thank everyone at the club and in the wonderful city of Toronto that have supported me during my time at Toronto FC. I will now be the biggest fan of Toronto FC and I wish the club all the best.”
Cheyrou joined Toronto FC in 2015 and made 68 appearances over three seasons with the club. He scored five goals and nine assists.
Before moving to the MLS, he spent the first 16 years of his career in his native France. Among his accomplishments there, he won a Ligue 1 title with Marseille during the 2009-10 season.
