He’s apparently a midfielder, totera is saying. RWB? Midfielder to take Delgado’s spot in the starting XI?

Would make sense. As the league and payrolls grow, players will have to earn spots in the XI.

Another thought is a two-way player like Cheyrou. Can drop back when Bradley is out or play more attacking in a first choice lineup.

Agreed he probably replaces Delgado one way or another

Kind of like a Matias Laba-type signing? What's Laba up to now, anyways. Last I checked Vancouver declined his option and was not selected in the RE-Entry draft.

He's got a knee injury - bad one. On the mend though. Sounds like he may not play until the Summer.
When healthy He's an everyday starter in the MLS and would be on a DP salary
Whitecaps are apparently still negotiating with him, but could end up back in Argentina

Liam Fraser scored the lone goal for Canada U23s in their friendly loss today. Still would like to see him get a first team contract to serve as Bradley's understudy.

Laba was at $885,000 guaranteed last year which actually makes him a very doable TAM player, if you wanted

    In Bez we trust.
"Failure simply isn't an option at this stage. TFC pushed its chips to the middle of the table when it splurged on Bradley and Defoe and reinforced its bet by making savvy acquisitions elsewhere. This collection of players is capable of delivering on the promises made during the close season. There are no more excuses available for TFC. Only success will continue the process of atoning for the past and establishing a higher standard for the future." FOX Sports

Heres a report of the recent news of Armando Cooper to Chilean club Huachipato FC, that has Canadian international Juan Cordova on it.

    This is cute...lol.

While he made some great saves...his inability to command his box, win aerial challenges would surprise me if he was backup. I think his size makes things a little theatrical.

If they were going to move Irwin, it would have been done by now. You don't go into CCL and the amount of games we might play in March April May with only Bono & somebody who doesn't know the back line.

If Irwin was to go, it would be a summertime move.

Asked if the Reds were close to adding any players during what’s been a quiet offseason for the MLS champs, Bezbatchenko preached patience.
“We are certainly looking at targets, but we want to make sure we do our due diligence – especially with the TAM investment,” he said. “We have to make sure we go through all of our checklists in order to get things right.
“We’re not in a position where we have to build around any new signings.”

When I first saw him on the pitch during the anthem, while not the shortest player on the team he is close. I questioned his ability to play with the big boys - winning balls in the air and so forth. He surprised me. He has good vertical and runs around like a madman.

I don't think he would make it in the big leagues though, and that's from watching him for most of last season. If he's up against a guy who can jump like Hagglund or a larger player he loses.

Not to entirely exagerate... but cavalluzzo is 1.5 inches taller than Nick Rimondo. Which is just to say his height doesn’t eliminate the possibility of being a good pro keeper.

There are others around under 6 feet tall as well, although abnormalities

So unless they expect more departures, we should now expect the club to start making moves since they now know what salary basis they’re working from

Edit: I mean I can hope

Some tidbits from Bez in Neil Davidson's latest piece
While trying to keep his championship roster together and prepare for the CONCACAF Champions League, Bezbatchenko is also pondering whether to use his TAM now or in the summer while factoring in the fact that internationals sometimes need time to bed in.

Bezbatchenko calls it a "delicate balance."
Bezbatchenko, who was recently scouting in South America, has roster space, international slots and money to spend. His dilemma is how much does he want to add to/disrupt an already deep roster.
TFC 2 midfielder Liam Fraser will be given every chance to make his case for the first team.

Nope. He's not a real fit and the cost of moving up in the allocation order for him would be too much.

I don't hate the idea of waiting until the summer to do anything. Other than someone to replace Beita, we really have no glaring weaknesses right now.

I can agree with this but without at least replacing players we lost this offseason we go into this coming season a worse team
