That, as they say, is a result.

Stressful game, but great result. 2 goals is key. Also really pleased to see Hagglund back and have a huge performance. Mavinga too really proved his worth in that one.

Props to the road warriors. Keep on rocking.

    Yeeeesssss!!!

Great performance from TFC after they weathered the storm at the start of the 2nd half. Hagglund was immense! Once again Seba nets a wondergoal and we play out the game limiting the Energy Drinks to very few chances.

I just hope the injuries to Vazquez in particular are not serious.

Goals change games. Without that cheap penalty I think we would've cruised in the 2nd half and maybe put a few more past them. They got a huge shot of confidence and were all over us for about 15-20 minutes, but we weathered the storm and then after that I thought we closed the game really well.

Hagglund is a great defender for playoff games especially. Because of the format teams get desperate and pound balls in the box, and he eats aerial balls for breakfast. Amazing job from him though coming in cold, he hasn't had minutes in a while and he didn't skip a beat.

1-0 loss or draw next week and we advance. Just get Giovinco another free kick next week.

LOL, I was too... very first thing crossing my mind was that he'll got in some stupid dribbling in the middle of the midfield, lose the ball, this will result in a counter, and a goal!

I’m sure we could have lived with a draw or worst case 2-1 loss, but this team sets pretty damn high standards for itself.

Great start to the playoffs for the team, knocks to Vasquez and Moor notwithstanding.

I was just about to say the Vazquez injury doesn't seem too serious, considering how he was moving during the game. But now the post game report on TSN has me more worried it could be worse than it looked. I don't want to lose that guy!

Looks like Victor got a hit in the stomach somewhere, somehow it's good that it's not in the legs area .... but who knows?

I had a bad feeling about this game but the boys got a result. Wish Altidore could have got a goal and shushed the ESC. Waiting to hear about the status of Victor Vazquez before I start celebrating.

Great result, all considering. We were poor for large stretches of the match. Hoping that the Vasquez injury is not too serious.

Hats off to the TFC away fans tonight. Your chants were clearly heard on FS1 and you out-sang New Jersey plain and simple.
That Jozy/Bradley hate-on by opposing fans continues to motivate them.

Great but stressful result. The ny penalty was SOFT! Should have been 2-0.
Way to go boys, very proud of you. See you at BMO on the weekend.

We were poor just for the 20 minutes at the start of the 2nd half.
    That's not that much.

And the Red Bulls haven't lost at home since when?

Id have asked for that penalty as a player and given it as a ref. Also, we gave the ball away far too often. Minute 35 to 44 and a half, we were great. Other than that...

Fortunately we had great shape all game.

Hopefully this is a wake up en route to a 2+ goal shit kicking at home.

It was nervy the whole way and that rather poor penalty gave New York an unnecessary lifeline but that's how you play an away match in the playoffs.

If we get a result on Sunday, the next match will be 16 days later. If Vasquez & Moor can't go on Sunday, they got 22 days to recover. Depends on the injuries but 3 weeks is quite a bit of time.

Hagglund played well, Osorio was in at the right time.

Watched most of it, We did not look great, but feel is nothing but UPHILL for our opponents, Massively disappointed if we do not win MLS cup.

I was just going to post the exact same thing. Why??????? Why no review on our penalty? The Portland call went the right way and ours would have as well.
