what if we paid NY to take him????!!!!
hmmmm.....Toronto is trying to unload the Jamaican-born striker but is struggling to find a taker for a player who has not developed the best reputation around the league.
Maybe some team in Norway is the best option.
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto
I telling you, Cunny to Norway for a plate of smoked salmon!!!
I'll take Cunny to Norway for a soiled diaper...
LOL!
NY has been burned by Mo too many times!
Maybe we can trade Cunny to Chivas USA for Esky!!!
of course they decline on Cunny. They need someone who can hit the broadside of a barn not a guy who is shite. I don't think we can offload him to anyone in MLS.. he'll either get waived or sent across the pond.
Who cares! An injured Esky is still 10 times better than a healthy, yet selfish, uninspired and lackluster Cunny. Not to mention that it would be funny if they got traded for each other again. Has that ever happened, where the same 2 players get traded for each other in subsequent seasons?
At this point I don't think Cunningham is even good enough for the ULS.
He can't be traded to anyone other than an MLS team since his contract is with the MLS.
Hopefully some team becomes insanely desperate for a striker and takes Cunnycakes.
Apparently Colorado may be the "insanely desperate" partner needed ...
"So where will the Rapids look to find a proven scorer with a reasonable price tag? Don't count out former Rapids striker Jeff Cunningham, who is out of favor with Toronto FC. Clavijo, who watched Cunningham walk off the field after being substituted in a game back in 2005, said the Rapids did broach the subject this week but are not actively pursuing Cunningham.
Cunningham, 31, has 99 goals in his MLS career, but has had trouble shaking a reputation for not endearing himself to coaches and teammates. He played one season for the Rapids, scoring 12 goals before being traded to Real Salt Lake."

It would be potentially something in the league itself,” Vermes said. “I’ve had some ideas in regard to some things outside (the league), meaning foreign players, but we’re more focused on the players inside the league right now.”
The Wizards have just 17 goals this season, the second-fewest in MLS. So it makes sense that they’d be looking to land a player who can help score, and a couple of big-name forwards apparently are available.
The Los Angeles Galaxy’s Carlos Ruiz, who has 82 goals in his seven MLS seasons, has been the subject of trade rumors for much of the summer. Jeff Cunningham of Toronto FC has 99 goals in 11 seasons, but he’s been relegated to reserve-team duty.
Please Take Cunny.
Take Him Now.
send him over sea or back to to his homeland
man, if Cunny read this board....he'd probably tie cinder blocks to his ankles and jump into Lake Ontario!
I was thinking that as a manager you can wive any player.
Why they don't waive the fucker away and cut him loose all together.
We already lost the money by signing him, let's keep the morale in the locker room high by cutting him loose.
I know one thing about Cancer in life...If you have it in your leg and the rest of the body still healthy, just amputate the leg and you will survive. You don't and you will die a slow death.
