Hope they don't fall into a trap vs. PhillyU like they did with this more than a few times, on pair of shorts at a time.
Remember The Man, The Legend, The Goal 5-12-07 and All That #9 Left On The Pitch, Thanks For The Memories !!!
They blew the lead at SJ. I doubt they even think they'll get a result from us at this point.

Teams seem to find an extra gear against us usually (Chicago notwithstanding) and want to test their mettle against us. They'll play hard, I think.
Every time we are playing a truly shit team, it's a trap!
See the examples of Colorado and Washington.
I think the team still has a problem mentally... to concentrate enough when playing these shit teams.
And yes, the final standings will be greatly influenced by how all the "better" teams handled the "shit" teams over the length of the season.
Can I get into the EX any time with TFC tickets or just around game time?
This is the first midweek CNE game in a while - there's going to be a boatload of people hoping to get in late with season's that are going to be frustrated at the CNE entrance lineups.
Andre Blake starting his first game since his hand was cut at the Gold Cup.
Philly has two major issues
- they have nobody pulling the strings in midfield as a #10
- their defence sucks
We should be winning this one. If this team is to be taken seriously as a great team, it needs to pummel teams like this at home. I think Jozy & Vasquez sit for this one and I think Seba is told to keep his mouth shut to avoid a 5th yellow for Sunday.
I also think Mavinga might get a day off, although Moor and Herneandez vs. Sapong would be a challenge. We might also see Edwards in for Morrow.
Geiger is the VAR, I wonder how he will manage to fuck over TFC and fix a win for the Union, you know that MLS want NYFC to win the Supporter's Shield. So TFC have to fuck over MLS. They can't call back every goal, so score a boatload!!!

Another @MLS travel headache: The Union's commercial flight to Toronto has been canceled. The team is now trying to get a charter flight
Ha ha!!
They did that just because Tenorio had an article out.

With the Montreal game coming up on short rest (assuming best starting XI with Beita starting for revenge) i think there will be rotation for this game:
Irwin
Hasler-Zavaleta-Moor-Mavinga-Edwards
Osorio- Bradley - Chapman
Hamilton - Giovinco
...although Altidore probably wants the start...
19 degrees at kickoff time with a wind out of the north west.
Autumn is here people.
Edu and Creavalle return.

I don't think Edu is going to play today (http://sbisoccer.com/2017/08/maurice...year-from-hell).
So did Philly arrive yet?
Really curious what the lineup will. Jozy def wants to play and bag a goal. If he is rested I see Rickets getting a look instead of Hamilton.
If we are rotating I still want to see one of Vasquez or Delgado in the lineup. Need that spark they can bring.
These are games that the "deepest MLS team ever" and "best MLS team ever" win without question. Idea of a trap game shouldn't even be a thought. Good opportunity to showcase depth and save some legs for Sunday. Gio and Jozy should watch this one from the Ferris wheel !!
I wonder if philly has to rotate anyone. They played sat, wed, sat as well. Had plane issues coming from California. They have Atlanta on the weekend at home. Don't know their squad enough to speculate about depth tho. Maybe no depth to rotate.
TFC has to manage game mins of starters so that they don't burn out during playoffs. The depth guys need game mins too. Some rotation is prudent, esp considering Mtl game on Sat.
Philly sucks esp away. Cut the supply to Sapong and watch their CMs trip over each other because they all like to occupy the same space. And their defence blows. I hope Yaro plays again so that he gets torched.

I think it would be very smart for Vanney to show some rotation. First of all, to keep the current starters on their toes. Secondly to keep players sharp. And thirdly to give people who have played well in limited minutes a reward: like Oso and Chapman. Also, the first team was poor in the two games against weak opponents. A touch complacent, perhaps? Would help fight any of that to have players who want minutes badly get some. Final point: Philly seems to be good in the air (or perhaps plays more longballs). Either way, it's too bad Hagglund is hurt. His presence would be very effective in this game. Edwards next best bet for presence in the box, at least in the attacking end.
At this point, the team still needs to push for wins. The second string players got a fair share of minutes from injured starters, absent DPs, etc and there are still plenty of games left. Vanney is doing a decent job of rotating players thus far and making drastic changes to the starting 11 will do more harm than good. I think Hamilton and Irwin are 2 players that are starved for minutes.
Hamilton's been scoring for TFC II, I wouldn't mind him getting some minutes tonight.
