Important to remember. If TFC plays up to our potential it doesn't matter what other teams do.

A few cards for both sides would be perfect.

Well that's it. Next step, TFC, @ CHI. A TFC win would be excellent.

Fire is still formidable at home, and TFC has trouble getting results away at Chicago.

I feel good about our chances after watching that. We have the extra incentive that we can finish them off too.

If we win on Saturday I can see a clear path to the supporters shield.

I watched, but with HD turned off. lol

Agree that, if this doesn't take much of the fight out of Chicago for Saturday, it will have the inverse effect, playing right into our hands… er… feet.

Honestly Montreal is the team that worries me down the stretch. Three games against them too.

I am no fan of a confident Montreal starting off a 4 game home stand with a big win over a team they finish that stand with.

    BUT

Chicago was awful out of the back with no capability to deal with some pretty basic runs. While Montreal looked easy to pass through.

We are better than both teams.

Our biggest opponent for the rest of the season is ourselves.

This. I think Chicago comes out playing for pride and lays 2 goals on the reds in the first 20 minutes. If they can't do that, then I think TFC weathers the initial storm and takes control of the game.

Exactly this. it was tough as every time chicago went close I naturally wanted them to score! Would have been nice if they had taken one back late so that they had run themselves ragged trying to get the point.

yup, it would seem. I wonder for how many this was their first non-TFC game that they sought out on TV. I like to watch the other teams but not sure how common that is.

The Fire are in poor form right now. I can TFC taking maximum points and if they do that, I really don't see anyone challenging us for the Supporters Shield. Especially with the strength of schedule in the remaining games.
