Default Other MLS Game Tonight - Fire @ Montreal 7:30pm - Choose Your Poison

Worth finding somewhere just as a reminder of who we play the next two Saturdays.

Blacked out on MLS Live because, you know, TVA.

I still want the evil empire to lose. We'll win the SS on our own without their help.

It may be easier to manage the cognitive dissonance if one considers it Chicago losing instead of Montréal winning.

So how many Toronto supporters do you think will be watching? I suspect quite a few.

Schweinsteiger is currently 1 yellow card away from being suspended for his next game.

Nothing like playing Montréal to bring out the cards.

Their best defender Kappelhof is also on four yellows.

I'd take a 0-0 draw... That way Chicago doesn't really get closer and Montreal doesn't win

Montréal playing poorly, I'll take a tie, may be the best score, just not a Chicago win.

2-0 on a pk. I don't think Chicago can win now.

Montreal up 3-0 off a great Piatti goal.

3-0 Chicago is toast. Not just great for TFC keeping in the lead for the Supporters Shield, but hopefully will demoralize Chicago for the match Saturday.

not necessarily - I've seen Montreal go 3-0 up before and not win...

I hate Montreal as much as the next guy but this is still the best result for us. They're irrelevant to our regular season position but every point taken off Chicago will help.

    Holy Cow...
I'm the only one here not liking the Fire being trashed this way?

Because I'm thinking now they will come out like crazy against the Reds in Chicago...
A draw would have been hugely better than this result.

Anyway, it will be a miracle now if the Fire can get a point out from this one.

Turned it off after the second goal. Not interested in watching Montreal rout somebody at their place.

I am no fan of a confident Montreal starting off a 4 game home stand with a big win over a team they finish that stand with.

    BUT

Chicago was awful out of the back with no capability to deal with some pretty basic runs. While Montreal looked easy to pass through.

We are better than both teams.

Our biggest opponent for the rest of the season is ourselves.

Montreal doing us a favour 3 up on Chicago at the Stad Subbuteo. It feels dirty though wanting the Impact to do well. I found myself applauding Piati's third goal before stopping and chastising myself. I think i'll jump in the shower before the 2nd half starts

Chicago has done exactly the same shit (or even worse) in defense in the last 25-30 minutes of the previous match, in Columbus.

It could also have a demoralizing effect on the Fire. Also make them try too hard, and hopefully make mistakes with it. If tonight's result holds Chicago must feel that Saturday is a must win. Such desperation could leave us opportunities
