We're owed a few from the last decade. I'll take it. Gotta be lucky to be good.

In defense of the DC player on the own goal, he just wanted to kick it out quickly with Giovinco right next to him, but ended up bouncing it off his teammate into the goal.

Too much cutesy passing around the ball by TFC in front of a packed DCU 18-yard box, throughout the whole game.

I also felt that Delgado should come off, but I would have put on Edwards first instead of Ricketts. Hopefully he proves me wrong.

This is the type of game where Cooper can have an impact. He is good at creating, and can change the dynamic of the attack.

I hope that DC doesn't get a counter attacking goal with Zavaleta going out, they have the ability.

DC pitch and stadium are so crappy.

Ugh who's going to score a goal today? We need another own goal from DCU.

Not to make excuses but I don't think one of our players have had a clean strike on the ball. Pitch is def a POS. Both teams have to play on it tho.

    Fucking crap you're right.

I know the field conditions are awful, but somebody should at least be able to take a decent long shot. Toronto players all look like their legs are made out of butter on the shots.

And nobody can put in a decent cross tonight. Just brutal. DC deserves the point.

I am so disappointed. Not really angry tho. We were so sloppy in the first 5 mins. Just careless and complacent.

Full props to DCU tho. Battled hard. They wanted it more.

Another wasted 2 points against a weak opponent and up a man for 50 minutes.....that game against Chicago looms even larger now....

I really hope we don't have all the folks coming in and saying criticism isn't allowed because TFC has a great record overall. Yes they do. But if we want to do well in playoffs and elsewhere, we have to do better in games like that. Every team from here on will watch the tape from today. If they don't think they can outplay Toronto, they will play like DC tonight.

We really need to do much much better against sides like DC and Colorado. Tonight, It just wasnt our night. There's been too much fannying about with Internationals and this All Star shit recently for our key players. We need to regroup and get working together in training to orchestrate the final push to go all the way and win the big prize

DC had much more spark on offense, they could easily have won that game especially w/o the red.

And for the life of me I don't understand why none of our players can put a decent shot on net from the top of the box (or just outside). The way to break down a team like that is with a really varied attack, from every angle & including some long shots.

Ricketts sub made no sense to me. He needs room and speed to operate. He can't do much against a DC team that's camped out in their own 18-yard box.

Honestly think the field had something to do with it. Doesn't excuse the poor performance but it is strange no one on TFC really had a clean strike

    Blah, grrr, blah.
DC could sit back, pack the middle and pick off our long ball passes.

I should love the point on the road, but this trend of expecting the lower standing teams to just roll over for TFC is worrying. This lack of combination play is worrying. The movement off the ball is lacking. The inability to finish off teams after they have a player red carded is a carry over from last year.
    Blah, that was frustrating...

True. But we don't have many long shots or goals throughout the whole season. Giovinco last week was more of an exception. I thought that Cheyrou, Vasquez, Bradley, Giovinco, Altidore, and a few others can all take a decent long shot, but we don't see enough of those.

    Nice.

Repeat after the shit play with Colorado.
With good teams we play good, with shit teams we play like shit.

    Never
    Ever
    Call TFC
    A Very Good
    Team
If they can not get 2 goals in 47 minutes on the worst team of the MLS, playing with 10 men, everybody with their asses in their own goal.

    Shame...
How many clear cut chances we had this whole game?

Why the fuck no long range shots?
The Second half should have seen at least 10 shots from anywhere inside a 22 m radius to the DC goal.
Long range shots are one of the very few weapons to break down teams sitting collectively with their their asses in own goal.

How the fuck we do not have guys who can take long range shots?

PS: Why the hell bring in Ricketts, when everybody knows he's zero effective against crowded defenses?
Should have been Cooper to do some dribbling, to take 1 on 1 on defenders, close to the DC goal.

    ---------------

Very well deserved points for DC.
    Congrats to them.

Agreed would have liked to see cooper. Rickets without the space to run is useless.

Props to DC for actually playing the full 90+2. So refreshing to see this as opposed to that flopfest Colorado game.
