I hope our guys only play like 20 mins in the All-Star game.
DCU is bad. Like Mariner era TFC bad. Anything less than 3 points and I'm going to be annoyed. Seba also loves playing DCU.
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”
-Eduardo Galeano
Think Vanney runs out a B squad for this one?
I don't think so, it's not like there is a midweek game right before or after. Everyone has the week to recharge, reload especially coming off th high of Sunday. In my eyes this game has trap game written all over it and by sitting a bunch of starters you are playing into that notion.
Remember The Man, The Legend, The Goal 5-12-07 and All That #9 Left On The Pitch, Thanks For The Memories !!!
I'm thinking we will rotate about half the squad.
Jozy might be on the bench due to the All Star game and his recent workload. Ricketts gets a game. Bradley and Seba won't sit until Christmas.
As for the rest, I suspect Cooper and Osorio will start this one - DCU is pretty narrow and giving them some minutes is going to be useful down the stretch.
We might see the Lichtensteiner. I'm also thinking Mavinga gets the day off for Hagglund.
Molinaro asked Vanney about Hasler, it's in his latest article: http://www.sportsnet.ca/soccer/tfc-t...e-real-madrid/
I don't know about that to be honest. I know we have a crazy deep team, and we have to keep rotating and getting people minutes to an extent, but at the same time at some point we're going to have to transition to a more first team focus as a run up to the playoffs to build on team chemistry to make sure we have the most in form starting 11 we can. I mean, I agree we will still have to be rotating, just not as much, especially since we should be done with the "12 games a week, oh and people are going to go on international break at the same time" part of the schedule.
IMO I think for the balance of the season we are going to be rotating players into the lineup to keep them all fresh and sharp for the playoffs...
But this game sooo feels like a trap game
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto
It does have that trap feeling doesn't it. DC have lost 6 in a row. Hard to imagine in MLS that run of bad form continuing much longer. As long as we take it seriously...
I think this team was pissed off after Colorado and will demand of itself finishing off every single opponent.
There's something very European league about how this team is approaching opponents. No "lets get by and win in the playoffs" thinking. May or may not work in the long run with the crap shoot that is the playoffs but its different compared to most MLS teams.

I know TFC should win, but I keep thinking, "MLS will MLS." I'll be nervous until they're up two goals.
First game with VAR up and running, I wonder what weird things will happen.
I think Vanney will go full strength for this. If Altidore is tired, sub him off around 60.
--------------------------Bono-------------------------
-------------Zavaleta---Moor----Mavinga------------
--Hagglund--------------------------------Morrow---
------Delgado-----Bradley-------Vasquez-----------
--------Giovinco-------Altidore-----------------------
(With Edwards & Chapman getting time after their recent games)
Bono
Mav Moor Hag
Morrow Hasler
Edwards Bradley Vazquez
Jozy Gio
Edwards has proved he can reek havoc with pace. Can't get his performance away at NYC out of my head. Would love to see him bring more consistency.
Happy Long Weekend to all! Go Reds!
Hasler gets the start. Bono, Zavaleta, Moor, Mavinga, Hasler, Morrow, Delgado, Bradley, Vazquez, Altidore, Giovinco
If anyone has the sweet sweet sweet youtube stream, hit a brotha up
the VPN inside Opera browser no longer allows me to use my mlslive account. what a waste
Completely missed Sundays dominating performance, so been looking forward to taking in this game all week now.
