Member Wall - Is this a joke?

I got this email today:

The TFC Member Wall Is Coming As a TFC Member, we want to honour you by including your account name on the Member Wall. The name we currently have on account is: Friend

So, of course, I don't want my name to appear as "Friend". Clicked on More information and got the following (see last line):

Our members are the most important part of Toronto FC. As such, we are honouring all Members by including their names on our Member Wall. If you are NOT interested in having your name included on the Member Wall please fill out the form below to opt-out. Deadline to opt-out is July 20th 2017. Email Address * This field is required TFC Account Number * This field is required No, please do not include my name on the Member Wall

Me thinks the IT department hit send on a template before all the information was included.

The names have been changed to protect the innocent... This may have been the case during the "dark" years.

Yeah I got the Friend email and went WTF and then later got the corrected one. Still they are not letting you change the name, so only the actually account holder's name is going up. Guess they don't want to deal with someone adding a bizzare if not dirty like name. Something along the lines of Harry Assman. Which in all honestly could be a real name for all we know.

I noticed last game that the member wall is sort of up. The wall that faces gate 3 has some plaques up. It's not very large and maybe it was up earlier and I did not see it. Though it looks like not all of them are there. I'm not sure if they got ripped off or never made it up yet. Didn't see my name on there but it wasn't in alphabetical order either.

Sorry it was BillyFly's idea circa 2010. the "good all days" when all we had to do is bitch and complain on the boards, and come up with schemes.
