Default Other MLS Games - July 4-6th

    July 4th

San Jose @ Atlanta 7pm - Game delayed due to storms. Atlanta is pretty good at home but doesn't face many defences like this. 1-1 draw

Columbus @ Minnesota 7pm - GAME OF THE MIDWEEK - A good offensive showdown. 3-2 for the Loons

DCU @ Dallas 8:30pm - FCD too powerful for DCU's inconsistent defence. 4-1 for Dallas

Seattle @ Colorado 9pm - Seattle just isn't good enough this season. The Rapids have a better defence and just enough to score against a Seattle team not clicking and with players gone. 1-0 for the Rapids

RSL @ LAG 10:30pm - RSL is not good at all. 3-1 for LAG

    July 5th

NYRB @ NER 7:30pm - Yeah, not as good a game as ours. NYRB has some injuries to key players, including Grella out for the season. NER at home too good for them. 2-1 for NER

Montreal @ Houston 8:30pm - Montreal old guys meet Houston's heat and hot offence. 3-1 for the Dynamo.

NYCFC @ Vancouver 10:00pm - The hype is all about NYCFC. So of course, this will go the opposite. 2-1 for the Whitecaps.

Chicago @ Portland 10:30pm - A tough July starts here for the Fire. Without Dax or Schweini, that midfield will have issues. 2-0 for Portland

    July 6th

Philly @ SKC 8:30pm - Meh...nothing really all that interesting about this game for the neutral. 1-1 draw just because SKC is overplaying its starters.

RSL finds 6 goals at Stubhub???? Did I fall into a parallel universe? San Jose can't hold off Atlanta. Hard to do when you go down to 10 men a half hour in.

That was embarrassing for the Galaxy.

Can't see LAG execs waiting until the end of the season to reorganize the staff. I doubt anyone thought Onalfo would last long but it's been even worse than expected.

LAFC is going to make LAG seem so MLS 1.0 the closer the LAFC stadium gets to completion and they start announcing their inaugural playing roster.

Amazing. I couldn't believe it when I saw the score this morning, especially against a pretty poor Real Salt Lake team. Think they will be pretty active in the summer transfer window too. Romain lettuce needs some support.

It was SJ's Sarkodie who got sent off in 1st half.
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.

I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’

And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

Did he actually get the red on that ridiculous tackle? I don't think he did. Think it was two yellows.

No you're right it was cumulative. Also right on the ridiculous. Looked like he was using his groin to make the tackle.

Lol. Yup, two footed slide with his groin following through. Honestly, that's the stuff that makes MLS look bad.

Chicago also missing Dax McCarty and David Accam to international duty. (Schweinsteiger probably thinking WTF about that.)

Portland continues to miss Liam Ridgewell, who is their Drew Moor. It should be an interesting contest.

NYC lost and Chicago draws 2-2 with Portland. Portland were better throughout, unfortunately they couldn't grab the winner.

Equal on points at the top with Chicago now and still a good night for us. Chicago has the tougher upcoming schedule until we meet them (@ NYC, @ SKC, vs. NE, @ CLB, @ MTL; we have @ NYC, vs. COL, vs. NYC, @ D.C., vs. POR).
