Looking forward to this match big time, TFC vs. MTL are dams special. I figure the Reds will go all out with this one. Any word if the US Internstionals in Jozy and The General are sticking around for it before heading off to camp in preparation of the Gold Cup?

Altidore off the bench if needed. 3 full games in 7 days is just asking for an injury.

Mtl lost 4-1 to Crew. Their defence is just horrid. Respect their counter attacks, but there is no reason why TFC can't win vs Mtl.

Question is are they resting guys for Tuesday and that is why they lost so bad? Or did they play their full lineup and they just suck?

They played most of their starters. I think a couple of their older players will struggle if they try to play three games in a week.

Agreed. Ricketts or Hamilton can start, and hopefully put the game away so that Jozy doesn't need to play.

Yeah, I think the Impact had the same tired legs problem that Toronto was facing, and they played alot of their starters in Montreal. I think Biello thought that Vanney would play a youth-heavy line-up that would make mistakes and lead to an impact win at home. I think he expected to go with some of his younger players in the second leg and play counterattacking park the bus, but that won't be possible now. His DPs just played two games in a row and they'll have 24 hours less rest than Toronto. I think they will be in some trouble come Wednesday.

Literally no better feeling than beating Montreal at home. Can't wait for this one.

Aren't a couple of L'impact players suspended due to yellow card accumulation?

Morrow called into the USMNT Gold Cup squad 23. Bradley and Altidore likely to be called in once it gets to the knock out rounds.

Oh, and in case anybody was wondering, team is taking this game very seriously

I fully expect a midfield of Osrio, Vasquez and Bradley with Seba and Altidore up front and Edwards and Morgan out on the left.

I get the felling people with TFC remember that home game last August where TFC were on a high and Montreal in the dumps. Montreal won and TFC went into a funk for a couple of months after that.

Always treat Montreal as a tough team. We should win this game outright but its a cup match - weird things happen.

Time to go full throated until hoarse.

    Its Toronto and Montreal

    Time to bring it.

    Lets grab that trophy again.

Can I say the obvious? This could be the most meaningful derby game of the year.

What do we think of Montreal?

I think they will put the full line-up for today (3-5-2 / 5-3-2)

    --------------Seba-----Jozy-------------
    Edwards--Vazquez---Delgado-----Beita
    ----------------Bradley------------------
    ---Mavinga------Moor------Zav-------
    ------------------Irwin-------------------

They have to come out and score, so we should be able to catch them on the counter. Their backline is not what it was in previous years. Does anyone know what the yellow cards accumulation rule is for the competition? Both Donadel and Duvall for them have 2 yellows. I expect us to field the strongest line up possible. I think we will look something like:

    Irwin
    Zavs---Moor ----Mavinga
    Morgan---- Bradley---- Edwards
    Delgado ----- Vazquez
    Seba ------ Hamilton

Subs: Either Jozy or Tos for Hamilton, Chapman for Delgado and the third will be whatever our needs happen to be in the last 15 minutes.

Don't forget we have to start at least three Canadians.
I expect to see Edwards, Osorio and either Hamilton or Rickets to start.

    Hamilton > Ricketts

Ricketts is better off the bench.

It depends on whether Mtl try to push forward to get that goal they need from the start of the game. If they play aggressive, start Ricketts, if they sit back and look to nick a goal, sub in Ricketts 2nd half. I think Mtl has a lot of tired legs, so I'd just start Ricketts.
