Default Other MLS Games - June 17-18

    No Friday Games

    Saturday

Seattle @ NYCFC 1pm - Seattle just isn't all that good this season. 3-1 win for the Pigeons

CBus @ Atlanta 7pm - GAME OF THE WEEK. Columbus with their ball control against the counter of Atlanta. Goals are going to happen. 4-2 for Atlanta

Chicago @ NER 7:30pm - Chicago plays a game that should be able to handle NER well. Dax sits exactly where NER wants to play through. 3-1 for the Fire.

Montreal @ Orlando 7:30pm - Orlando can't handle Montreal's counter. Without Larin, they have scoring issues. Watch the lineups to see if Montreal rests anybody before Tuesday. 2-0 for Montreal.

SKC @ SJE 9pm - two coaches who don't want to change what they do. SKC is a better team but SJE at home is good on defence. 1-1 draw

Portland @ Colorado 9:30pm - Blood and thunder versus the thinking man's blood and thunder. Could be very ugly. 2-1 win for the Rapids.

Minnesota @ RSL 10:00pm - RSL is the worst team in the league. 2-0 for the Loons

FCD @ Vancouver 10:00pm - FCD not as dominating as we thought they would be. Time to step it up but I think they will have issues on that turf. 2-2 draw

Houston @ LA Galaxy 11:00pm - LAG is rampant without Jones. Dynamo are awful away. 4-1 for LA

    Sunday

NYRB @ Philly 5pm - A good test for both teams. Whoever wins this goes on to probably 3rd in the East. 3-1 for the Union

Why the need to jam all the games within a short time frame on Saturday?

I really enjoy the Friday Night Match nights, regardless of whether TFC is playing or not.

I don't really care what they do, but they should do it consistently. I rarely watch the NFL, but I could tell you from memory what all their time slots are throughout a week. The showcase games in the NBA and NHL are are consistently broadcast at certain times throughout a week. MLS clearly has not thought hard enough about their fixture list in totality and has overly tweaked things in the name of satisfying different stakeholders or business parters. They also rarely seem to stick to anything year-over-year, it just keeps getting more random.

They can pretend there isn't a cost involved in all this but ultimately it impacts people's impression of their product and the TV ratings.

Montreal draws Orlando mostly because Orlando's defence gave the ball away. If we can avoid that this week in Montreal, we should be fine.
Oh, and Camara goes down likes he's shot at the smallest provocation.

Exciting match, though. Montreal will be pumped.

I'd like to see plenty of corners if the score is even. Montreal doesn't seem to like and Seba and JHam just served a tasty one.

    Really stoked for this one.

Og called a goalfest for ATL vs the Yellows and we got it. Should've been a lot closer but the South Trilliums couldn't hit the net enough. Real shockers.

Wow so NE had the chances at home vs Best of the Rest Chicago and lost but man this is shaping up to be a huge week for us.

Montreal and NE ready to take shots and shots with something to prove.

And we gotta take it to NE after our last meeting.

Plata and Silva absolutely menaced that Minnesota backfield. Love that it was Cronin back to help. Crazy ex TFC game.
