This is the most vulnerable I've seen our defence all season.

Got away with one there. Mavinga has not had the best of games.

    Wow this game kinda sucks.

Beitashour we learned when we were 9 years old that you get your shoulders over the ball on a long shot.

In addition to everything else, our defense really sucks tonight.

Ok who was editing Cooper's Wiki? It wasn't me. (His long shot off them bar was good though.)

We can talk about squad depth all we want, but this side quite simply isn't the same without Michael Bradley

TFC's defense had a nightmare of first half.
Totally outclassed by the NE forward players.

NE had chances like other MLS teams have in 4 complete games against TFC - in the last 2 months' games.

Probably not a Toronto FC fan.

    Cheyrou looks tired.

Need a hold up guy. Turf throwing off the rhythm on passes.

Lucky not to be 2 nil down at half

    Adjustments please.

Maybe go 4-1-3-2 and plant Cheyrou in front of a back 4.

TFC seem to be struggling with the horrendous turf. The ball isn't rolling as it would elsewhere and our CBs have slipped on the turf. Hoping for a better second half

Sloppy game all around which was frankly expected based on the missing parts of our lineup, a crappy field, and a team due for a stinker. The fact that they can still pull any kind of result while playing so poorly actually gives me some legitimate excitement as to how good this team really is.

They are going to lose games this year, based on non peak lineups, jammed schedules and simply having off nights. If that happens only 10x out of the year and they can steal some points in those "off" games (Clbs road game for example), that's going to lead to a heck of a regular season. If this group is healthy in November, and we KNOW they will be extremely motivated after last year (and BMO will be rocking), they will be a site to behold....

We're getting picked apart right now by new england's young attacking core.

Something needs to be adjusted for second half.

We're soft in the middle today. No real destroyer. No Delgado, no bradley. Cooper's okay defensively, Cheyrou's a little slow, Vasquez is non-existent going backwards.

So we're getting overrun by the trailer in the box each time.

Let's see if Vanney manages to change things up somehow.

I don't mind losing competently. I wasn't expecting anything today. But we don't need to look this bad. I agree the brand new plastic surface is causing problems (for both teams) but that's not an excuse for the bad positioning & total lack of communication in our defense.

We're not losing this game from a poorly defended set-piece. Need some adjustments and I think we could still do this.

Also there're quite a few TFC fans here in Foxborough.

How we can be positive, when we played in the back making NE look like they are having 2 Ronaldos on the field?

i'm reading it with rose tinted glasses. it's more disappointment and "we could be doing better" than it is all around negativity. now, 2010 - 2013.. THAT was negativity. in all honesty though, our defence has been poor, and if the revs could finish, it could easily be a 4-nil game.

from the cooper wiki under club career:

After the 2016 MLS Cup Playoffs, Cooper signed full-time with Toronto FC. Cooper however lacks the basic ability to pass the ball when under pressure, leading to dangerous turnover situations and an extreme lack of scoring chances.

Who do we sub? Edwards has been unused as a forward. Vasquez and Cheyrou a step behind. Cooper ok, so not an obvious substitute. Gio not to influencial. Needs a change in formation but I can't figure it out.

Let's find an equalizer some how, take a point, and get out of Boston.
