Default Other MLS Games - May 25-28 - 4 Days of Matches

    Thursday

    Yes, a game tonight.

FCD @ Chicago 8:30pm - Don't look now, but this is #2 @ #3. What we want is a tie but I suspect FCD is going to take this one.

    Friday

Only our game. Game of the Week.

    Saturday

Portland @ Seattle 2:30pm - This game is a morning one out west in order to have it on big Fox immediately after European matches. Portland slightly better but I'm thinking its a 1-1 draw.

DCU @ Vancouver 7pm - DCU is in serious trouble. Vancouver developing a decent team. Caps are just better. 4-1 for the home team.

NER @ NYRB 7:30pm - We play NER in a week. Their offence is good enough to hang with the Red Bulls but their defence can't deal with people running at them. NYRB will win 3-2.

SKC @ Colorado 8pm - Best in the West plays the worst. This being MLS, Colorado will win this one 2-1.

Orlando @ Minnesota 8pm - The Heath derby. Orlando recovering from bad coaching, the Loons still struggling through it. Orlando not very good away. Loons win 2-1.

Philly @ RSL 8pm - 4 game win streak meets cruddy RSL team. Test for the Union. 2-2 draw.

LAG @ SJE 10pm - LAG without Jones is much better. SJE's defence is good but the offence is still sketchy. LAG 3-2 win

    Sunday

NYCFC @ Atlanta 5pm - the next best game of the week. Atlanta on its plastic pitch moving the ball at speed vs. NYCFC moving the ball at speed. Euro style vs. South American style. The winner? This being Atlanta, likely the ref with a red card. 2-1 for NYCFC

Houston @ FCD 8pm - Dallas can handle Houston's offence. Houston can't handle FCD's offence. 3-1 for the home team, even with the short space after the game tonight.

Dallas playing Thursday & Sunday, that's odd.

Nikolic's 11th goal so far. I was going to say he is this season's Giovinco but hard to compare the two. Nikolic is much more of a poacher (counts the same though).

    edit: 11th not 7th

3 goals in first 9 minutes (2-1), this could get crazy in Bridgeview.

Bigger picture, that result for Chicago helps us in the Shield race. Dallas is now 7 points back with 2 games in hand.

It's completely nuts, even if go completely wrong tonight, TFC still keeps the top of the table this week.

It's really nuts how far Chicago has turned things around. A real threat to TFC now. Dallas trending in the other direction (for now).

Chicago folk I know were frustrated with Pauno last season but I felt he just needed some time. He has a more balanced squad now.

There were two handles ball yesterday in our game for either team. Not sure what's up with the non call lately.

Settling in for an evening of household chores and checking out the slates of matches.

Vancouver has hit the post/crossbar a couple times in the last few minutes. Feels like the Benny Hill theme should be playing.

what a BRUTAL dive by DC United. Wow.

This is EXACTLY why video replay is needed. This could decide the game.

The guy who's been covering soccer in the States since the early 60's makes a very good point about NYRB.

Sweet Jesus! Can the league give a card after the fact for that kind of nonsense?

Insane that the Whitecaps didn't score in that game.

Yes. It has suspended players for simulation a few times already.

Its almost like the refs are giving up knowing VAR is coming.

NER's defence is pretty bad. They play a diamond so lack width in the midfield and their FB's are not all that good. I think we should be able to score a few next week.

Not really buying the disparity because the FA Cup ref miss a hand ball and talked the AR out of an offside call on Arsenal's first goal.

I believe they can hand out a suspension so yes although it doesn't help Vancouver which is the main negative about post-match justice.

Same dude got fined last week for simulation in a game, can't see how he avoids a suspension after this week.

Wow that Salt Lake match had highlights from all the old guard. Maund clears what should've been a goal, Plata finally gets the only goal the match and even Silva hits the post.

I'm sure he'll get at least a dinner out of it should there be a fine or a lengthy suspension.

Vancouvers mediocrity notwithstanding that dive was the only reason DC took 3 points (well, and Hamid standing on his head)...
