Default Anyone traveling to New York for the Friday, May 19th TFC vs NYRB game?

I will be in New York that weekend and am heading out to the game on Friday night (starts at 7:30pm I believe). Would love to know if any fellow fans will also be heading to the game and if so, if anybody would be interested in trying to connect for a drink pre-match.

We're thinking of going - probably going to drive down on Friday and stay in Harrison... Did you get tickets yet?
Toronto 'til I die although still a Leeds fan at heart...

I wont be attending, however, I think this game is going to be good, Cheer hard cheer well, I believe in this squad we need to pick up points at this match.

I picked up some tickets in section 221. I think the official 'away supporter' section is in 220, but I couldn't find any seats available there, so figured 221 was close enough. I actually have 2 extra tickets in my row that I would be happy to donate to anyone who was interested.

4 of us will be making this trip. Looking for any recommendations on TFC supporter congregations.

NJ is a weird empty place with a beautiful stadium. Basically your options are Catas, the Viking Army bar in one direction from the stadium or in the opposite direction, Green Room I think it was, where away supporters usually hang and it's a smaller local vibe. Catas was friendly if there's only a handful of you. Usual banter/actually we blend in same colours. heh

    That's about it.
    Both walking distance to stadium

    I'll be there.

If anyone is looking for tickets in 220, you can contact Steve Vetere at NYRB at 973-776-8960. Price is $22 each. Apparently about 30 tickets have been sold so far, so should be a decent group.

In the past, it hasn't been a problem to join the group in 220 if you have a ticket elsewhere.

I'm travelling down, like every year, with my 9 year old. We have tickets in 219, but will move to 220.
The stadium is in the middle of nowhere, but quick to get to on the Path train from Manhattan, and great once you're inside.
I'll be the only one of us two drinking...

I am planning on heading to Catas before the game - likely around 6ish. Should be a good night!

I'm coming in after work, like 5:30ish from midtown. Likely going to hang out at the tailgate next to the Panasonic building by the stadium if I have some time. I'll probably venture up to 220 at some point during the game.
