He was already scheduled to go next week on the INTL break. The injury just accelerated the window. What ever it is he was going to have treated over there he now has an extra week. Travelling that far to VAN just to be moral support for the team is useless. And anyone we get to keep off of that god awful turf is a good thing. If he has a doctor he knows, who knows him and his history and is also one he trusts, then it makes perfect sense for him to want to see that doctor. Since he can afford the flights and has the time off, I don't see an issue with him wanting to go to his own doctor.
