It's sad when we are in 1st place, the media doesn't seems to be excited or care about the team at all..

Funny thing about this, I've been noticing a lot more people talking about TFC then usually. It's growing the interest, trust me.
Revs abandon plans for a SSS. The Krafts really are the worst owners in MLS.

MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto
And their players not that much better. This is pretty despicable.

Interesting article from the Guardian, although disappointing that the 401 derby received no mention:

Sooooooo as far as TV viewing in the US is concerned, MLS skews younger.

And, in those 10 years, the viewership average age went up only 1 year.
Gold Cup update:
Bradley, Altidore and Morrow on the provisional U.S. squad.
Osorio, Edwards, Ricketts on the provisional Canada squad. Would have liked to have seen Chapman get a look, note sure why he wasn't included.
For the next 3-4 weeks. With that timeline he'd be recovering just as the Gold Cup begins. I think he'll still make the squad if it looks like he's recovering well and close to playing as the tournament approaches, Canada doesn't have another striker like him in the player pool (or on the provisional roster).
Road Games:
2013 - Montréal , 2014 - Orlando (Disney Classic), Montréal
2015 - Columbus, New England, Montréal
2016 - NYCFC (Leg 2 Conference Semis), Montréal (Leg 1 Conference Final)
2017 - Ottawa (Leg 1 Canadian Championship Semi), DCU, Red Bulls (Leg 1 Conference Final), Columbus (Leg 2 Conference Final)
2019 - Montréal, NYCFC (Eastern Conference Semi @ Citi Field), Seattle (MLS Cup Final)
This week is the annual "MLS teams play in the US Open Cup" week. A few MLS teams play each other but there is always something interesting going on league wise.
DCU beat a beer league team yesterday (but after going down a goal).
Columbus is in Cincy for a derby match. The Columbus fans are actually louder there then they are in Columbus.
All the games are streamed via the MLS website.

A strong US domestic soccer structure is important to MLS and to Canada. A strong Canadian domestic soccer structure may take 20 years to get to the point where the US is now but it will bring significant dividends to TFC in the long run.
Over 30 000 in Cincinnati for this US Open Cup game versus Columbus, not the first time Cincinnati has had large crowds, if this game was in Columbus maybe 3000 at the most lol.
Lol Columbus eliminated from US Open Cup loosing to their USL State cousins 1 -0 to Cincinnati in front of 30000 in Cincinnati.
playing for Cincinnati - as a wingback as far as I can tell - is TFC legend and One Of The Greatest Finishers In The History Of The Modern Game: Andrew Weideman.
Glad to see he found his feet at a prime spot like Cincinnati. provided many of the few bright spots we had in the Mariner era. seemed like a Pretty pleasant guy on and off the pitch too.
Cincy may have had 30K, but they were awfully quiet fans. They do a lot of give aways.
So I read an article yesterday where Bruce Arena stated that very few of his main starters will play in the Gold Cup, I was surprised to hear this. I guess he wants to use the games to experiment with players before the next round of WC qualifiers. However he did mention a couple of names who he said he may use and unfortunately one of them was Jozy. It would be great if he didn't use him or Bradley at all so they get some much needed rest and recovery.
Mexico will be sending their B team as well presumably, being that their in the Confederations cup at the same time. Makes sense to go with a more experimental squad.
Could mean Morrow is gone for a month though. Sounding like Arena wants an MLS heavy squad.

Grant Wahl's interview with Arena quotes him saying that he might bring in JA at some point. I'd say that implies he won't be used in the group stage.
Bradley not mentioned although BA does say that "almost none" of the players from the "best possible" USA side would be involved.

Could have easily killed somebody, including himself.
Idiot. Suspend his ass.
Dammit that's really shitty.
Really hope he learns from this and rebounds from it. I think this, coupled with his slumping form, unfortunately means he won't be making his big money jump to Europe this winter as was previously thought to be a given.
