Bob Williams of the Telegraph tracked down the assertive but under-informed AFP journo.

BTW Bob Williams is doing phenomenal work covering the game in North America. Worth a follow on the Twitter. Just my $0.02.

So in stupid Impact tricks today

Player does a tweet about Trump picturing himself holding a gun (apparently an air pistol).

    Impact suspends him.

Hold on says the union, only the league can suspend a player as the contract is with MLS.

    OOPPPPPSSSS

You'd think the Impact would have learned to measure before they draw a line.

So Didier Drogba now owns and plays for Phoenix.

    That was an eye opener.

Latest story from Molinaro says Morrow might be in line for a spot on the U.S. Gold Cup roster: http://www.sportsnet.ca/soccer/justi...national-team/

It might happen sooner than Morrow thinks. Two notable reporters who cover the U.S. national team told Sportsnet that they expect the TFC defender to be included in Arena’s roster for this summer’s CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Very interesting points mae bySchweinsteiger in this article. http://www.espnfc.com/chicago-fire/s...europe-is-huge

    In particular

The league is interesting because it's evident everyone can beat everyone. And sometimes things happen you just don't understand. This might be referee decisions or the running paths or passes of a teammate. It's different than in Europe, but you have to take things as they are." Schweinsteiger also said that while MLS is "very strong" physically there are other things still lacking in the U.S. top flight.
"Not everything is seen that happens on the pitch -- the teammate in a good position, where it might get dangerous, how a situation develops," Schweinsteiger said. "Too many balls are lost as well. But that's normal.
"If this were not the case, the people would not play in the United States but rather in the Bundesliga, Premier League or La Liga. Still, MLS has potential, a lot of potential."

An article looking at MLS team identity based on spending.

    http://www.topdrawersoccer.com/the91...ntic-identity/

Personally, I think that's only half the equation as many teams are developing an identifiable way they structure and play.

And, on another note, if you had to guess who in MLS would have a tartarn registered in Scotland, would you guess.....a Houston Supporter Group. https://www.tartanregister.gov.uk/ta...ails?ref=10105

That is one of the most random things I've seen lately. good find. Though it's got me thinking we may need our own tartan. We do have Scottish roots through Mr. Mo..... (too soon)

To be fair, Arielle Castillo who works with the league found that tartan thing and tweeted about it. Random as h*ck. 13/10.

Isn't it funny the way we describe things. When the team you are supporting takes a penalty and the opposing keeper saves the penalty, it is considered a missed penalty, when the team you are supporting's keeper makes the save, it is considered a saved penalty, I mean I consider a missed penalty when the strike hits the bar, post are misses the net entirely. I just find it very amusing. Thoughts or comments?

Dallas reno seeing new ticket structuring, including an on purpose attempt to get people to buy across from the TV cameras.

$20 per game per seat for the majority of tickets

Damn, those are great prices! Hopefully TFC can lower tickets prices once they are out of the red $$$ zone.

I'm willing to pay higher prices for a winning team. I remember "year 1 pricing," but I really don't want to go back there.
