I must admit the best one I've seen so far is from Orlando
FiveThirtyEight has added MLS to it's power rankings.
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com...edictions/mls/
Surprise, surprise, TFC is ranked first, followed by Seattle, NYRB, and Dallas. Atlanta is ranked 9th. Simulated seasons are recalced after every weekend of games, so it should be interesting to watch the team's fortunes go up or down based on statistics rather than pundits' gut-feelings.
I really enjoy 538 but I have PTSD from them and last November.

Their highlight of the season was tying us.
Major shitshow in SLC. Not saying that they should have kept Cassar, but they just gave him a one year deal. That's just dumb. Petke will probably get a new guy bump for a while.
That's crazy fast, 3 games into the season.
They havn't had a real identity since Kreis left and I'm not sure Petke knows how to create one either. I think one reason why they have gone with an interim is RSL play in Jersey this weekend. Petke back for his first game at that arena would be a complete farce.
Bye bye Robin Fraser
Somebody on twitter remarked that Robinson & Cassar started at the same time. Same amount of wins - Robinson has one more loss.
Not Petke. Kyle Beckerman. Retiring and moving directly to mgr position. I guess they are hoping to strike gold from the squad again.

Hearing that Atiba to Caps summer move is looking less likely. Doesn't sound like #MLS is willing to pay close to 100% of transfer fee #vwfc
Years have gone by and Ive finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: A pretty move, for the love of God.
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I dont give a damn which team or country performs it.

So the MLS' leading scorer went out injured from a Venezuela game tonight

We play Atlanta in 16 days.
So reportedly.... Abdul-Salaam from SKC is out there in terms of trade opportunities.
I don't think he would be entirely cheap but not terribly expensive either. With Delgado getting very little opportunity and TFC not having another natural right sided player with a huge motor available... I think this sort of move makes sense. Midfield is looking incredibly crowded on our roster right now...
Why make it more crowded? Just make do with the players we have right now and give the depth players development time with either TFCI or II.
Assuming you mean less crowded? Delgado would be taken away from the area where we have the most cover (Central midfield) while Salaam would be added to the area where we have the least (right side of midfield). Yes we just signed a couple guys but they remain totally unproven.
The idea is we no longer have to look to Endoh or some other square peg in a round hole when beitashour is unavailable.
Hamilton goal for the U23s vs. Qatar U23
Injury bug making the rounds. Josef Martinez out 4-6 weeks for Atlanta, Lledget out 4-6 months for LA after surgery, and Paul Tenorio reporting Piatti is out "several weeks" with a groin injury.
Remember that Beckerman talk just a few posts upthread? Good times. Now the word it's Petke for RSL. Maybe the Beckerman talk was a trial balloon or the owner got cold feet or Kyle said he wouldn't cut off those nasty dredds - we will never know.
It was always going to be Petke - they only waited because RSL under Petke for his first game @ NYRB would have been a bad idea.

The Chicago Fire presser introducing Schweinsteiger has a very "Bloody Big Deal" feel to it. Did MLSE lend the double decker bus to them?
Lots of sports media with not so much familiarity with CF or MLS or soccer. I guess that is a PR win for CF but many cringey questions.
The shirt lift! Mazel Tov!
That Seattle microphone guy from last year has been replaced.
I'll just leave this here...
Its already been left here....at the top of this page on this thread.
