^ It does, but somehow fond memories too. They were a bad bumbling team. But they were our bad bumbling team. Except for Jacob Petersen.

Jacob will be coming back for the Reds second home game of the season vs. Atlanta. Wonder how he feels each time he comes back to the house the Reds built.

Well he is one of 187 men so far to have taken the pitch for TFC, thus he will be forever Red.

Maybe Nick Garcia-ing him is a bit harsh. But there is a reason why Vieira chose to let Hernandez go. Part of it is that NYCFC plays everything out of the back and JH isn't good enough passer to fit that tactical philosophy. But IMHO the biggest part is that JH just can't keep up anymore. Hernandez is same age as Moor at 33, but he's considered not good enough to start for a team that leaked a ton of goals last season. SJ let him go and now so did NYCFC. (and I used to think JH was a decent MLS CB as well) 200k isn't that big of a cap hit for a veteran CB who can contribute.

So I think JH is declining really fast. And depth CB might be a decent fit for him. But I question just how much value he brings to TFC, considering there's a lot of CBs signed now, and JH isn't going to add that much. (esp considering his 5'10" height and never been known as an aerial presence)
Play him in the NCC and against teams like Minnesota and he's done his job. He is just relief for Moor but more importantly, he's another veteran presence on the bench for the younger kids.

Moor leads on the pitch, so it makes sense to have another guy for the kids on the bench - someone to keep them focused - looking out for things from the bench etc

The problem will be if Moor gets injured and he has to come in on a FT basis. Although with "faster" kids around him, he won't need to do too much running.

Based on Vanney's discussion of who is the like for like replacement for Altidore, looking like Hamilton is dropping down the pecking order while Spencer is moving up. Who knows where Baboulli is now - in the CPL next season I suspect.

Do we need to sign another GK now that Irwin is injured?

Well something will have to be done. I assume at least in the short term Mark Pais will be brought up from the USL.

Irwin's injury is 4-5 weeks. He'll likely be back in for mid to late May.

Mark Pais signs with the first team. Was our TFCII keeper. When Irwin comes back, I'm sure he'll be loaned back down.

I think the point was that he had 2 years at the very least to prove he was capable of competing with Irwin/Bono. He evidently came up short. Doesn't do any good for him or the club to keep him on and have him beat a dead horse in the reserves for another couple years.

Pereira was linked to TFC back in Feb
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.

I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’

And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

Makes sense, Cheyrou will likely retire and become an Academy coach in a year or so, young DM depth is always welcome, though I thought Delgado provided that.

New rumors linking TFC with Marco Borriello. Don't see how this would work (probably just the obligatory rumor since he and Seba share D'Amico), but I've always liked Borriello, think he'd be a great short-term solution for an MLS team.
