TFC II & TFC Academy 2017 Discussion

I have to say that Endoh is pretty consistently a standout for TFC II in terms of creativity and offensive impact, even if he doesn't always have everything come off or get the final pass right. I've flip-flopped on him like 5 or 6 times now since he joined TFC, at times I've thought he'd be an MLS fringe starter, and other times that he looked to have no pro future. I'm still not totally sure what to make of him but I'm at least pretty convinced now that he's got decent enough ability to be effective if he's put in the right situation.

He's always had decent technical ability its been decision making and lack of a clear role that's let him down.

I dont really ever see him getting a regular first team role. So train him up and flip him within MLS or try and get a fee from a J-League side.

The thing about Endoh is that he looks like he could be really, really good at his preferred position. Unfortunately we don't play with wide attackers.

I'd imagine him being really good on a team like SKC.

It might be blasphemous to say this but the brain trust needs to think about a day in 3 years or so when the roster no longer contains Seba & Vasquez. I would be suprised if they are not already - that is part of the reason for a TFCII and an academy.


Endoh is a good 3-4-3 or 4-3-3 asset.

The USL YouTube webcast (linked to from tfc2.ca) of the game on now from Vaughan strangely has Louisville announcers and ads, instead of the usual arrangement of the home team's announcers on every other USL TFC II game I think I've seen.
Edit: I missed most of the first half. It appears that the webcast started with the TFC II announcers, then switched over to the Louisville ones after about 31 minutes into the game, perhaps because of a problem with the on-screen graphic not being able to show the time clock.

TFC II win 1-0 at home vs. Louisville City, good win as Louisville are 1st in the East. Cavalluzzo had another huge game in goal and Hundal scored the winner, goals in consecutive games for him. He has 4 on the season now, good for him to be back in form after a slow start and I think an injury (he disappeared from lineups for about 2 months).

Under 17 world cup starts tomorrow and we might see couple of former TFC academy players playing tomorrow morning against each other.

TFC II lose 4-2 to Bethlehem, but Hundal grabbed another 2 goals, bringing him up to 6 on the season, matching his total last year.

Last year he had 6 goals in 27 appearances (21 starts). This year he now has 6 goals in 21 appearances and 16 starts. I believe he was injured for about 2 months earlier this season.

TFC II has one more game left on the season, next Saturday.

Isn't worrisome that TFC 2 is always in the bottom of the USL?

Or it is just the norm for a youngster team playing in a senior league, and would be something unusual if would be a middle of the road team, never in the top 5 but never in the bottom 5 either?

TFC II ends the season with a 4-3 loss to Cincinnati. Hundal scored again to pass his mark from last year with his 7th goal, ending on a 4-game scoring streak. Good for him.

TFC II finishes last in the Eastern Conference with 25 points. Last year they finished 3rd from the bottom of the East with 26 points.

I watched last nights TFC2 game and although they lost, it was a very entertaining game. Endo showed well scoring two fine goals, he will most certainly cement his place on the roster for the playoff push
