Rival name? BMO is as Montreal as the Y is about Young Christian Men. It's a holdover brand. It's as Toronto as Bay Street.

Second of all the word "Montreal" is embedded in our fucking jersey. So also fuck that.

I think you are reaching here. It's just a bank that gives us money for sponsorship, not some kind of trojan horse.
Now if someone wants to come around and rename the team Toronto Monster Energy Drinks and make the jersey look like a euro hockey team littered with advertisements I will take exception. But an innocuous reference to another city as part of an acronym of a Toronto headquartered company? Not too concerned.

Seriously though, I'm so over BMO. We're at a point where TFC should be able to find another sponsor without going with something cheesy (no pun intended) like Pizza Pizza. I'd be 100% on board with Kia. It seems destined to be, just make it happen already.
Coca-Cola would honestly be the perfect sponsor in my eyes. Took over Pepsi for the official soft drink of the MLS, plus they'll probably pay good money. But TFC's head reported did say don't get excited so it's either BMO again or a crap sponsor that will ruin our kit.
It may just be BMO again, unless it's last year's front runner. Then everyone will be asking Who?

So I was on Instagram looking at TFC's page. I opened the picture with the new Slogan "A New Dawn Is Coming" and I realized that there is a BMO logo on the bottom right. Is BMO our primary sponsor again?

For me it would be weird if the sponsor was any one but BMO but if someone were to come and takeover for BMO that would good too. I remember in the 80s when I first watched Soccer and Man U had Sharp on there Jerseys for Years and Years until they changed and got Vodafone in 2000 I believe and to me it was just different

Round neck, black Adidas stripes, the piping...It's clearly last seasons jersey unless you're looking at some other picture.
I thought that at first too but I took a closer look and realized that it is the same jersey from last year just poorly photoshopped into the ad.

After seeing other MLS Teams kit releases. It looks like many using a standard template. My final guess at what ours may look like with very faint horizontal line pattern (similar to Chicago Fire's 2017 2nd kit)
