So Raheem Edwards did the sing a song in front of the team initiation along with Mavinga last night. Guess he got a first team contract?

Given that Simonin started the last preseason game, I think we can assume he will getting one as well.

Anyone else see this?

i guess its official?
How many slots are left in the roster with the addition of Victor?
This man won 2 champions league tittles with Barcelona I believe. He has expirence we need
they have a boat load of mids..what are they going to do with them?
Spent a lot of time in Barca's system and had some strong seasons in Belgium.
This excites me.
This gives us options in terms of formation. A legitimate CAM option in the diamond.
Road Games:
2013 - Montréal , 2014 - Orlando (Disney Classic), Montréal
2015 - Columbus, New England, Montréal
2016 - NYCFC (Leg 2 Conference Semis), Montréal (Leg 1 Conference Final)
2017 - Ottawa (Leg 1 Canadian Championship Semi), DCU, Red Bulls (Leg 1 Conference Final), Columbus (Leg 2 Conference Final)
2019 - Montréal, NYCFC (Eastern Conference Semi @ Citi Field), Seattle (MLS Cup Final)
Seems more a creative than goal threat. He has an Osorio-like goals to game ratio. I'm happy with this though.
Belgian Footballer of the Year for the 2014-15 season. Seems the exact type of creative player we needed. I'm excited.
That's a signing for this and the next season. Given Manning's musings about character, they must have done their homework on fit.
As for the Barca point, Molinaro tweeted out he once saw a game this guy played for barca in and couldn't remember anything about him.
His Bruges days are what people hope to see here.
Happy to see where tfc is at going into the season. This is looking good.
He stood for Bruges when I watched them against United in the CL qualifiers a few years back.
This is a good read on him http://www.espnfc.us/uefa-champions-...chester-united
Looks like he is a free agent, so I assume no transfer fee. Transfermarkt shows a 2 million Euro transfer fee in Jan 2016 from Club Brugge to CD Cruz Azul. Seems like it could be a good deal.
This looks like a good add for TFC...
Kurt Larson on twitter is reporting that "TFC expects new boy Vazquez to be available for opener @ RSL."
Definitely like the signing. Not a huge injury history, can score from anywhere around the box (unlike osario) and is very creative. Only thing I would say that is negative about him is that his numbers have gone down the last 2 years after his player of the year in Belgium, but some of that has to do with him being played as a CM a lot for Cruz Azul. I'm very exciting. This was the last piece we needed along with Mavinga. Our bench is loaded with quality and our starting lineup is if not the best, top 3 in the MLS.
4 plus 2 HG spots plus the season long loan to the USL spot which could open up another roster spot.
Toronto FC ROSTERED PLAYERS (24 of 28 spots filled): GK (2): Alex Bono (GA), Clint Irwin
DEF (8): Brandon Aubrey, Steven Beitashour, Nick Hagglund, Chris Mavinga (INT'L), Ashtone Morgan (HG), Drew Moor, Justin Morrow, Eriq Zavaleta
MID (8): Michael Bradley (DP), Sergio Camargo (HG), Jay Chapman (HG), Benoit Cheyrou (INT'L), Armando Cooper (INT'L), Marky Delgado (HG), Jonathan Osorio, Victor Vazquez (INT'L)
FWD (6): Jozy Altidore (DP), Molham Babouli, Tsubasa Endoh (INT'L), Sebastian Giovinco (DP, INT'L), Jordan Hamilton (HG), Tosaint Ricketts
TFC needs goals from the midfield, this guy doesn't necessarily bring that. Hard to argue with his resume, but we should concern ourselves more with his last season in Mexico than his distant past as a fringe player with Barca. Looks like a positive signing, but I'd like some info on his form in Mexico. Doesn't look like he lit it up.
His recent history leaves some question marks but I think there's enough quality there to consider this a reasonable signing. Clearly an all-out star with a near DP pay packet was out of the question given budget constraints. Management deserves the benefit of the doubt as well given their recent hit rate.
I'd say even if none of these guys work out we are still a good team. If they end up contributing, even better.
so what are we thinking for the last couple of spots?
Raheem Edwards (HG deal)
Akim Andrews
the young US kid (if someone can remind me of the name that would be great) (HG deal)
Clemant Simonin
3rd Goalkeeper
one of the defenders on trial (Finnish guy?)

i think Ebdoh and Simonin are kinda a waste because of the intl status they are way back on the pecking order,i think they sign edwards, spencer to 1st team contracts and maybe andrews to a tfc2 contract.
Wow, all right. We're going all in, then. Really wasn't expecting this kind of signing until the summer window.
We have a stunning amount of depth. We have to be Supporters Shield favorites.
