Let me be more clear. The only scenario in which anyone wants Ashtone to play, is if we are winning by two or more, as an 89th minute sub.

Actually, if you want supporters not suits there, and you want lower ticket prices, this is fantastic news.

FWIW, Fox rolled out a (imo) frequent rotation of promo ads for the Cup game today during their football schedule.

This isn't just the Cup final. It's the first time the Cup final will be broadcast on an English-lang OTA network in the US in Saturday primetime. And TFC is in it. This could be the most viewed MLS game in league history. And TFC is in it.

I know everyone knows this but I just was thinking about the last ten years, and for this run to happen in season ten just seems so surreal to me.

Something to help you pass the time by during the week, looking back at the Reds road trip to start the season. Gotta love the last quote in the video, "It's going to be a good year for us" by Greg Vanney. Who would have known, one win away from being more than just good, Saturday can't come soon enough.

I can't wait for Saturday. It is going to be epic. It's my wife and I's anniversary on Sunday and I cannot think of a better way to celebrate than having our boys in Red hoist the cup. We need to hold a tight mark on Morris and Leiderro. We have the fire power to get by them, we just need to contain and defend strong for 90 minutes. Gomez can talk all the smack he wants, I doubt he will even come off the bench. I don't know how I am going to make it through this work week.

Yeah I like Herc but he's become a shadow of the guy who played against us all those years ago - he's now DeRo circa 2014 like.

    ******

On another note, no scheduled subway closures this coming weekend.

Will MLS live blackout the MLS Cup Final in Canada, friends whom have weaned off of the Rogers/Bell nipple and can't make the game need to know?

I didn't like how Gomez was handled, but you can't argue with the outcome.

Moving him gave us a chance to get Hamilton some meaningful minutes, and then we replaced him with Ricketts, a far more impactful backup striker.

Yes it won't be on MLS Live.

It will be on big Fox though so if they have a OTA digital antenna they should be able to pick it up from the Fox Buffalo.

I know it sucks that a lot of dedicated hardcore fans are not going to be able to attend this match, but lets not get carried away. Season seat holders are all still in the stadium, even if they aren't in their usual seats. The entire south end is "intact". BMO will be totally rocking, and at least 3/4 of the stadium will very much be hardcore Toronto FC fans who have been with the club for years.

In fairness, the season seat holders and supporter groups got tickets. It will still be super loud.

hopefully its on a big screen just outside the stadium

hundreds/thousands of real fans standing outside would be the true support this team needs

Well the one thing MLSE has always been good at is making a spectacle of something. I mean, there couldn't have been a bigger celebration of the Leafs coming in last place than if they'd made the playoffs.

Just wait. They haven't released General Admission and if the weather isn't great, a lot of fair weather fans may just want to sell off. Plus prices usually drop on secondary markets as it gets closer to the event.

Can't find anyone who bought one. Last game they released them about 24 hrs before kickoff. Also they always have holds which are released within 1-2 days.

Has anyone sat temp stands yet? I got row 4, wondering what the view is like. Also, not trying to rub in anyone's face that I got tickets, my apologies.
