That rain-soaked night vs. Houston in 2007. Winning on an Andy Welsh header. The GO station after the game, "Eastbound, stand up". "Westbound, stand up". Then when the train reached Union, a bunch of bewildered Jays fans get on the train to be serenaded to "Who the "f@ck" are Blue Jays, who the f@ck are Blue Jays, nah nah nah nah". Tons of memories like that.

He was awesome! International school abroad I believe, I know he was travelling... Indonesia comes mind. He came to 112 though at the NYCFC home game!!! It was like seeing a Ghost from the past! One of the best Mid-Capos ever!

I wanted to share this video... it resonated with me in many ways. For those who know me There is a reason why my avartar has been black since 2011, and It's been hard for me in various ways ever since.

A big shout out to a lenged bgnewf! I couldn't have said it better: "I am not angry about the past anymore" sad for other reasons but not angry! This playoff run and that game have redeemed it all for me. 10yrs

Still don't completely is going on with that face, a true TFC classic, would be funny this week with Terry back in the fold on the broadcast side to ask him, even hold up the photo beside him. LOL

Great find!!! Second time watching it! I was there for that game and at the tailgate... I did not want to be featured on cameras lol
I take back everything bad I've ever said about CBC after this gem! A couple of things:

    - I've never had a chip butty! Can I still get one at BMO?

    - Rick Mercer is wearing and original RPB scarf! Super envious. I lost my very own and had to buy from another supporter. If anyone has another Original RPB scarf they are willing to sell please let me know!!!

This is a good point actually... How many of you still have seat cushions? Would be hilarious to recreate that moment

    - Re: the Squirrel, anyone remember the chant "faster than Samuel!"

    - the blonde woman in 111 wearing very low cut shirt showing lots of cleavage, and all of the corner chanting at her "blond-ie, stand-up!" (quite sexist by today's standards, but was still pretty hilarious)

    - Kardinall Offishall performing at a blustery home opener (or 2nd game?), which was about minus 3 degrees with a foot of snow having to be cleared. It was so cold the stadium was like a sound vacuum, and you could barely hear him singing...

    - having to crotch a mickey at the 2008 all-star game, 1st time being patted down for a game at BMO (but certainly not the last Beckham game!) Getting drunk AF and pissing off most of the RPB brass for chanting even though we were supposed to be doing a silent protest (certainly not the last silent protest!)

    - the first year when there were often as many European/South American team's jerseys being worn as there were TFC jerseys (and everyone on the boards bitching about it)

    - All of Chad Barrett's misses, and, his amazing curler from distance at Colorado

    - Mosh-pit celebrations outside of Gate 3 led by Keyman!

    - Bitchy the Hawk!

    - Playing amazingly well against Pachuca in a 2008 cup friendly, only to lose to them in a penalty shootout 4-3, w/ soon to be dark overlord Sliviu Petrescu missing Kevin Harmse's attempt being clearly in by a foot! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4YeVukDgG0)

    - Having Amado Guevara and Dero playing in the same midfield/attacking line-up. During some games one of the best skilled line-ups in the league!

    - Mista's goal against Cruz Azul in the CCL

    - Seeing Ronaldo do this about 40 ft away, then smugly celebrating in front of the supporters section! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBVmvYc-IAo

Can't quite believe how much BMO has been transformed with the new upper decks and roofs. Old BMO looks like a community field compared to now.

MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto

August 5, 2007 Beckham came to Toronto (he didn't play due to an injury). To mock the media hoopla the RPB rented a double-decker bus to arrive in style:

Man, that cold season opener might have been my favorite TFC game ever. Kardinal Offishall came out at half time and sang The Anthem which tied it all together in a pretty bow.

The nostalgia is so real in this thread, why do I feel so nostalgic over such a frustratingly mediocre time lol
