Default Toronto FC at City Hall tomorrow !!

The Reds will be acknowledged at city hall tomorrow. Might be worth checking out if you are in the area. Notice how this year they are using a jersey, as opposed to a flag last year.

Updated time as per TFC's tweet, 9 am.

A Toronto FC kit will be draped from the fourth storey of Toronto City Hall tomorrow during a presentation with Mayor Tory. #TFCLive

I'm amazed at the amount of photo ops John Tory attends, I'd be equally amazed if he can name three non dp players...glad to see the city turn red though...

Guys a bit harsh on Tory. He definitely knows our dp's and I'd guess he can name more than a few other players.

    Link?

Just curious. I know Tory is more a city team guy than our last mayor but any mayor will be no contest vs our first mayor.

I have never seen anything regarding Mayor Tory and negativity towards the Reds.

That's not what I asked or said. I'm sure he likes anything he's representing. That doesn't make him an expert, a season ticket holder or a card carrying supporter. I just wanted to know or see what he HAS said.

Eyes and ears open and will look for the news tmr.

Well as you said nothing compares to Mr. Miller. Outside of tweets I have never really seen him talk about the Reds.

I saw Tory at playoff Raptors games last year.

He supports all the Toronto teams.

I am planning on being down at City Hall, any chance to support the Reds and our great city is well worth it. When ever a team is on an upswing it brings added attention, I for one say eat it up. This is what we have all been waiting for, its taken 10 years to get here.

Yes our alternate reality RPB were right beside him chanting vs Jaques Viger who traveled with Impact away support. It was epic and raunchy.

I think a photo op with the last mayor would have been epic. And you can just imagine the after party, haha

The bill is red and Mackenzie King was a Liberal (red party colour, coming from pre-confederation "rouges" party).

Mackenzie (after whom Mackenzie King was named) was a leftist (using today's terms) who wanted responsible democracy instead of the Family Compact (the 0.1%ers of their day) running things. He probably would have loved soccer and the colour red.

I love that this thread has become a history lesson about Mr. $50 and his Rebel Grandpa! Still looking to see what the ex CFL commish has to say tomorrow.

Tory will say whatever he needs to, he's the mayor of the city, he can't ignore a successful story.

I'm not knocking the guy but based on what I've ever seen from him, he's just not a footie fan. I don't really care that he isn't either.

Appreciate the history lesson. Always enjoy learning something everyday. While I am well versed in our country's history and beyond. When it comes to municipal history, at least the way back when not as much.

Here is an update on tomorrow's Jersey raising.

There has been one about the same size but the newer adidas design that they have been asking fans to sign as they walk in to BMO that last 4 home games.
I feel as though that one will go up

Really? How did I miss that? Was it at gate 1? If it was that might be why. I am only ever around the south end of the stadium usually.
