An absolutely dreadful start. However we appear to have settled down a bit as the first half wore on. One goal puts us right back into this, but unfortunately we havent looked like scoring at all. A bit of magic from Seba or jozy is going to be needed tonight. We also need to keep things tight at the back because a third for Montreal will kill us

The idea of just dumping it to Giovinco is pointless. They have to overload one side so that Montreal can't bunch up the box.

Jozy was awful in that half, barely moved, created no problems, couldn't pull them out of shape at all. Bradley was awful; Zavaleta was a ball-watching statue on the second goal.

We have the guns to score two or three in the second half, but i can't see it. They looked despondent before they'd even kicked the ball.

Brutal half. oduro had tweeted that he dared TFC to play three at the back. He'd run riot in the space. That being said Haglund slipped on the shit turf to leave Oduro alone. Second goal was beitashour's shit header and then leaving Piatti. Need the DP's to step up in eecind half. Key is to a hold them scoreless this half. A goal for us would be like a victory.

We are seeing the typical post-Klinsmann "bad Bradley." I hope he can pull himself together, we need "good Bradley" more than ever.

Please show me this isn't the same franchise from much of the first ten years, one that turns in a massive disappointment as soon as anyone outside of the hardcore base pays any attention to them.....sometimes I think it's in their DNA.....like I said earlier, irrational me has made a return......

C'mon you Reds! They scored two, we score two to take it back to TO with the advantage in our favor!
TORONTO FC, 2017 MLS CHAMPIONS!!! (Still the greatest in league history!)

We have to find a way of getting Jozy into this game - he's isolated and not getting into any dangerous positions so far. He's not getting any decent service to hold up and it leaves Seba trying to come too deep to get involved.

But this certainly isn't over yet.

As bad as the start was we aren't in a bad place. Toronto slowly getting into controlling the game + Montreal's old turfed-out legs will surely result in at least a goal for us.

If Club America proved anything its that the Impact can deflate after flying high.

I don't think this is about tactics ... it's a lot about being mentally strong. Simple mistakes are costing the team ... especially on goal #2.

And...time to see some adjustments. They are set up perfectly to handle how we have been playing. Not that Biello really adjusted. Its just they are playing their way and it really soaks up what we do.

They are giving up the wings almost completely, but our issue is on the right.

Beitashour can't bomb forward due to Piatti. He didn't watch him once after his bad header and...boom 2nd goal. Cooper out on the right is not handling the ball on the turf and neither is Zaveletta. So attacks on the right against Oyongo (arguably their worst defender) are not happening. Only when Seba goes out there and isolates Ciman are we doing well.

Hagglund is really showing his lack of experience. He didn't track Mancosu on the second goal and got caught in no man's land on the first.

Osorio is getting no space going forward. Bradley is spraying passes but the turf bounce is crud and frankly he's looking to Seba WAAAY too much. The fact he's got nobody on the right to pass towards is not helping. Cooper and Osorio need to find space.

A good thing is Morrow is getting lots of space and they are giving him the ball. That will continue to provide us with opportunities on the left.

Seba is being kicked out of the game, and Altidore is getting marked out.

    2-0 is bad.

    2-1 is OK

    3-1 is doable

If they score 4, well I'm going to the game next week no matter what but its going to be a wake.

And that was just bad goalkeeping.

Actually watching it again that was also shit assed midfield play. How do you let a defender go ALL that way?

This is the worst they have played all season.

Weak goal. But damn... I feel the series slipping away. We need that away goal, and a great home game.

Are you fucking kidding me??????????? What the FUCK are you doing Moor? It's fucking Oyongo, step up on him, for fuck's sake he's not going to beat you clean, he couldn't even properly bring the ball onto his left foot. And how the fuck does Irwin let that in??

I can't believe the shit I'm watching. Fucking pathetic from everybody today, same fucking shit as last year. Unbelievable.

The gap between the mid and the backline was insane. Hard for a cb to step up when the guy is absolutely barrelling in.
