The underneath issue for me here is we have not adjusted to what Montreal showed they were going to play. That's on Vanney. BUT, the players have not stepped up and allowed themselves to be able to succeed. With the exception of Morrow (who promptly wastes an attacking opportunity), not one player has played near his capability. While every Montreal player has done the job.

I don't know. Maybe Vanney is too naive a coach. He has built some unity and some results, but today there was no solid adjustment, and the folly of having kids with two years' experience at two of three center half positions really showed with all the ball watching today. I think in the first twenty minutes Zavaleta looked like a deer in headlights.
