Very irritating. Clearly passed over. Glad to see a lot of pundits also shocked.

Pundits also wondering how second best defense in MLS gets Moor overlooked for defender of the year

Is it that shocking? Looking at the list (excluding humanitarian as I dont think most of us would know that much detail about all the players), where would we have a player fit in for the top 3? Moor may be a candidate, but top 3? Seba likely a top 5, but top 3??

    Sasha - 6G 20A
    BWP - 24G 5A
    Villa - 23G 4A

    Seba - 17G 15A

From a strictly statistical point of view, what in the fucking fuck argument could you make to pass over Seba 3 times? When you generate the most goals in the league (32), you should be up for this award.

Not saying he was a shoo-in, but not a finalist? They are having a laugh.

He got injured at the wrong time, right as voting got underway. Out of most voters' minds because he wasn't playing. Then you get to the end of the season and look at the numbers and realize he should definitely be in the conversation.

Seba clearly the MVP with those stats. No other player who led league in G+A has ever been passed over. There is a NY bias here that we can only deal with by kicking their asses out of playoffs - Mtl and Toronto c'mon ...

IIRC, voting is by the media. I've seen at least 3 MLS staffers say this snub and the Howard up for GK things are not what they put on their ballot.

Seba is the MVP of the league - whether the media recognises it or not....meh. Its kinda like the Goal of the Year last season. We all know his goal was better then the SKC one but in the end, we know and that's all that matters.

This is fantastic news for us on the pitch. I remember how angry Seba was when he hit the post with a penalty shot last year. He took over the game and I think scored a hat trick, if not at least two and an assist. If he reacts the same way to this snub we will dominate the playoffs.

I think you meant most points.
But yes, you'd think being the biggest offensive threat in the league would get you a nomination.

I think Vanney is going to use all these snubs and David Villa's non-suspension as motivation to rile up the boys to win this whole damn thing.

Everything is against us. Us vs everybody. All for one.

Nah....don't use this sort of stuff for motivation. Leave that to hot heads like Marsch and the NYRB. Just be a pro and win on the pitch.

    Hahaha. Hadn't noticed that.

Kelly deserves the award. He actually is a good ref (rare in MLS).
