This will not happen. In the leagues mind that would be a disaster for TV ratings south of the border. And a Colorado-TFC final is right out for the same reasons. Look at what happened last night with Seattle and SKC. The refs will be under directive from MLS FO to bias towards a New York - Los Angeles final.

^^ Thats why they just put the Canadian referee (Silvu Petrescu) in charge of the TFC game on Sunday.

Is he more bribe-able than the other refs?

Just looked at the sked for Sunday.

What an orgy of football that is. Great day for MLS and they get to do it again a week later.

    so
so the SKC-Salt lake final a few years ago was league mandated? or the Dallas-Colorado final a couple years before that? Come on this isn't the NBA. They don't care what happens. Whatever grows the exposure of any of their franchises, MLS will be happy.

agree with you. One of the few things MLS has seemed to do right is to stay off the pitch (other than crappy officials which affects both teams randomly)

Fantastic how they've lined up the games for tomorrow, one right after the other.

I'll def be tuned in to Impact vs NYRB at 3pm, and hopefully at least catch the first half of LA vs Colorado afterwards.

^FYI apparently the Impact game on TSN (if that's yer plan) is being joined in progress at approximately 4 p.m. due to CFL .... and I just checked MLS Live and apparently blacked out?! Maddening.
    TSN GO at 3 p.m....apparently?

This is annoying, just glad TFC didn't have a 3pm start today or we be watching half a game. Plus the CFL game is taking up 2 channels TSN 1 & 4

See, that's what really gets me...what is the point of SN and TSN having 5-6 different channels each, yet they'll still show the same event on multiple channels and interupt other games. I know it's just a matter of some producer in a studio somewhere allocating buttons and faders. But I guess we have to keep in mind that the CFL is TSN's baby (and I mean that respectfully).

Anyways, looking forward to this MTL/NYRB game. It's about 6 degrees, overcast and no wind there. Should be some decent football on a good pitch.

A lot of empty seats in Montreal. At least a lot more than there should be for a semi-final.

Losing 1-0 away is not the end of the world but losing 2-1 would be better for the energy drinks.

I'm more worried about NYRB than I am about Montreal. That being said, NYCFC is developing into a beast (as are we), if we win this handily then we're probably going to the finals. If not, it's hard to tell!

Seattle just ripping FC Dallas apart right now.

    3-0 in the 57' minute.

cheer for Seattle or LA if you want to see an MLS Cup final at BMO Field
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.

I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’

And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

Falling into place for a chance at a BMO cup final. Dallas in real trouble and LA looking pretty solid vs Colorado. Dallas can still steal an away goal yet.

No team has come back from 3-0 in the first leg. Can't see Dallas doing it without Diaz.

I can't imagine Colorado not winning at home, but it would be pretty cool if everything lined up for a shot at a home final. That's still a long way off.

In a way I feel sorry for Dalas, IMO they should have won the MLS cup for winning the supporting shield and we should be playing off for the support shield now.

But hey, that's American sports ehh, we maybe able to snatch the MLS cup after a 3rd place finish in the east. GO TFC !!

Not used to this there being a TFC game in the midst of the rest of the playoffs thing.

    LAG @ Colorado @ 2

Would be nice to see the Rapids lose this one as an MLS Cup final at altitude is just wrong.

    Impact @ Energy Drinks @ 4

Not a fan of either team - hoping for a massive chasm to open up underneath them both and swallow em whole.

    Seattle @ FCD @ 9

This one is as good as done already. Dallas showed a text book way NOT to do a 3-5-2 last week.

Planning the day out so I can enjoy the sunshine for midday, and then settling into LA vs Colorado right at 2pm.
