Woooowwww
I eat every single bad words I said about Tosaint Ricketts, TFC legend in making
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”
-Eduardo Galeano
Tossainnnttt RICKETTS! He created the whole chance to begin with.
Yeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!
Damn right! That was an awesome game.
Vanney was flawless today, must say.
Fantastic result. An early goal in NYC and the tie is finished.
I'm sweating like a horse right now from jumping around the living room.
Amazing. Excellent. Superb. Can't wait for next week.
What a performance from the lads!!!
They didn't panic and stuck to their task and a two goal lead is the least they deserved. NYCFC were never in that game at all, although it must be said they did have a couple of breakaways that came dangerously close. The job isn't done yet and we will need another big performance next week if we are to advance, but lets be honest, most of us would have bitten your hand off had you offered a two goal win before KO.
Excellent night all round (perhaps only Seba had an off night) however Bradley was an absolute beast tonight, that was a captains performance if ever there was one...
Well done TFC!!!
Great approach to the game. TFC put them under so much pressure before they got into our third of the pitch. Lots of fouls and free kicks but not too many chances for them to put dangerous balls into the box where Villa is so effective. NYCFC has to go all out next week so we should be able to get a counter attack goal or two.
Fucking damn right, these guys didn't even try to play today. Hack, hack, foul, yellow, foul, all god damn game long. Hopefully Villa gets suspended for the return leg too.
Huge result, especially the clean sheet.
edit: Shame on me for almost forgetting to say this: Bradley was fucking monster tonight.

That was Bradley's best game in a TFC kit.
Great result today! Curious to see if Villa gets to play in the second leg.

Holy cow. We really dominated that game. Everyone played well, especially Zavaleta who has been questionable pre-playoffs!
That was special. What a night
It's gotta be the best feeling ever in a TFC match. Right up there in moments like Dichio's first goal in season 1 and the raining of seat cushions.
Although, obviously, this is bigger.
Amostphere seemed nuts tonight.
I have been a RPB since the day after there first game against Chivas in 2007, I sat through many miserable games But tonite was maybe the happiest time for me ever maybe since knocking off L.A. in the CCL in 2012. The job is no were done keep up the good work guys. The Stadium was awesome
We might as well play with just Bradley in midfield if he keeps playing like today. It looked like there were five of him out there. Hopefully Vanney goes for the early goal next week. That would force NYC to score four goals to stay alive, which is a lot more deflating than having to score two to force extra time. There's also no way in hell Villa should be playing next week (and Vieira will look awfully stupid for taking him off if he is suspended), but I wouldn't be at all surprised if the discipline committee doesn't even look at the incident.
Found it strange though how NYC started to press extra hard for a goal near the end and opened things up at the back. It was as if they forgot that the result wasn't as important as the scoreline. 0-0 would have been a good result going back home. And was an away goal worth risking a 2-0 deficit for? Or if it was imperative for them to score an away goal, why take off Villa? Not going to complain about that though
Tickets since day 1 and I was never going to let distance stop me from this. At the airport now and I'm the happiest guy here. I actually got the first goal on my phone and have watched it 10 times now.
Loved watching Cooper tonight. Guy seemed to be everywhere on the pitch.
Great result!
Sooo excited
I am v ery curious to see how The Toronto media will report this tommorow
I remember earlier in the season when it seemed like Altidore couldn't buy a goal, and now he's always there to either clean up, or make a play for someone else.
