Did Bradley's yellow card today get him a suspension next week?

Assuming we get through that, I'll gladly play NYCFC over DCU. Not only the chance to watch those DP's actually play here but DCU is on fire right now and might take NYRB down.

There are worse places to be then 3rd.
Does the winner of the 3rd v 6th game not play the 1st place team in the semifinals?

No. 1st place plays the lowest remaining seeded team after knockout round

I agree that hosting the Union is preferable to hosting Montreal (If I'm reading things right NE need a shift of 13 goals to take the last PO spot) and that NYCFC would be preferred NY side to face. I don't think a two leg win over NYCFC is beyond us even with our recent patchy form. That would leave a Conference Final, most likely against the RB or DCU given recent form

(I'm getting ahead of myself, I know...)

When I was reading the pre-match report on MLS it said Bradley was suspended after 2 more yellows?

You are correct - he must have had enough games to earn a yellow taken away.

Might be good if he gets a yellow next week. Would strengthen our deadballs and midfield play for the first round. Hopefully Johnson recovers though.

I was totally wrong about Ricketts. Cheap, effective, fills a role we didn't have. Good job Bez.

Ricketts and Cooper are MLS 3.0, Osorio is MLS 2.0 and Kyle Bekker is MLS -1.0.

Overall, I thought we played more than well enough to earn 3 points today. It was just one of those days due to a variety of factors. Hopefully we can maintain the effort and start the playoffs on a positive note.

Just one of those games. Tema did very well though dominating the majority of the play. MTL is so lethal on the counter with piatti though...

Hugh point and comeback again.. well done.

One of these days Oso will have to be able to place a shot in the net right? Man oh man..

    I got red dirt stains
    On my boots and jeans
    Calloused fingers
    From my guitar strings
    Wild like the wind
    In the tall pine trees
    I got roots
    And I got wings
    I raise my glass
    On a Saturday night
    I thank the Lord above
    On my Sunday drive
    For Daddy's hands
    And Mama's dreams
    He gave me roots
    She gave me wings
    He said run on love
    And run on life
    And plant some seeds
    Until you're tired
Don't take anything at all for granted
    She said raise your hands
    And raise your babies
    Be yourself
    And never change it
Be everything you ever wanna be

    He said run on love
    And run on life
    And plant some seeds
    And take your time
Don't take anything at all for granted
    She said raise your hands
    And raise your babies
    Be yourself
    And never change it
Be everything you ever wanna be
    I saddle up
    When I get down
    Sing every night
    In a different town
And I've got a man who wears my ring
    And I got roots
    And I got wings
    Yeah I got roots
    I got wings

Good to know. Didn't know this rule existed. I always just assumed he missed a game after his next yellow.

Got back from the game last night from sitting in the family section with my son. Good to see all the TFC supporters in the upper corner, but I noticed that the Impact have moved supporter sections behind both nets. I also noticed that as soon as the TFC supporters tried to start something, the Impact supporters section nearest to them immediately and effectively drowned them out with their own chants as they were closer to the field. The Impact really seem to make the most of their home stadium advantage, even more than BMO Field.

Even Old Saputo had a standing section. They were ahead of us by design and remain so. Location...not so much.

I am not that fussed about playing in the knockout game. Lots of MLS teams have gone on playoff runs from deep in the playoff table (including Portland last year).

I actually think it would be an advantage to play the first game in a home-and-away series at home, for us, given that we have been very good at getting results on the road this year.

Perhaps a knockout game would do us some good. Another game to get Seba back into it, and for Cooper to get accustomed to playing with him.

Even if he gets a yellow next week his suspension won't cross over to the playoffs. Disciplinary records are wiped once the regular season is done.

Thanks for posting this! If somehow it aligned and I only had to go for a 3 hour drive to Edmonton to watch TFC it would be my lucky day. That combined with the fact that watching Edmonton lose at things is one of my favorite past times would make this little tidbit rather big for me.

It was right at the goalie. It was an easy save. These are Profesionals being paid to play. I expect more from them.

Not to mention it had more power than his last 3 shots combined...
