Default Other MLS Games - Sept 30 - October 2

    Tonight

    NYCFC @ Houston

Obvious what we want. Just don't now if its going to happen.

    Saturday

    Philly @ NYRB

A tie would be good but I just can't see NYRB dropping points.

    Chicago @ CBUS

Chicago officially out of the playoffs, CBus all but eliminated. Reminds me of where we used to be.

    SKC @ NER

An NER win would keep the pressure on Montreal.

    Galaxy @ Dallas

Realistically, the SS is gone. So, would be good to see LAG end below us on the points table in case of the MLS cup final. Dallas win, in my books.

    Portland @ Colorado

Same as LAG - don't want to go to Colorado for an MLS cup final.

    SJE @ RSL

Meh.... RSL cruising to a playoff spot and SJE playing out the string.

    Sunday

    Orlando @ Montreal

Orlando win would be very good for us.

    Seattle @ Vancouver

A Seattle win and the caps are eliminated.

Rooting for Houston tonight! Here's hoping they can help us out by taking care of NYCFC, or at least holding them to a draw.

I know this isn't exactly MLS, but I'm watching my adopted european club Norwich City take on Wolves right now.

For a Championship level team, it looks like Wolverhampton's stadium is half empty. On TV it looks like watching a DCU home game where the lower bowl crowd is all in the centre

So based on the tie breaker

TEAM-STANDINGS TIE-BREAKING PROCEDURES: The team awarded the highest position in the MLS standings will be the team with the greatest number of points (3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss). In the event that 2 teams finish the regular season with an equal number of points, the following system will be used to break the tie:

    1.Total number of wins
    2.Goal Differential (GD)
    3.Goals For (GF)
    4.Fewest Disciplinary Points*
    5.Away Goals Differential
    6.Away Goal For
    7.Home Goals Differential
    8.Home Goal For
9.Coin Toss (tie of 2 clubs) or Drawing of Lots (tie of 3 or more clubs)

A Montreal loss or a tie today and we are guaranteed 3rd. A Montreal win, and the Impact fans will be all over us about getting to 3rd place.

Montreal does what TFC couldn't do and knocks Orlando out of the playoff hunt.
GK Evan Bush had an amazing save on Montreal's side, but the key to scoring on Orlando was a simple long-ball.

Man did Orlando ever shell Montreal for the second half of that game. half a dozen serious chances miss the net by a hair.

It's a long break before we meet Montreal but not much but Dom impressed me.
