First game blacked out on MLS Live in Canada.

Would be nice to see Orlando take 3 points in this one.

That Bendik non save on the Drogba goal was actually worse then Bono's gaff.

BTW, if you want a twitter handle to help you get highlights during games, that is the one.

And Orlando goes on to win 4-1. I like it, but it really shows how much of a missed opportunity it was losing to them the way we did. Montreal is not playing well at the moment. We let them get away with one.

Good on Orlando City to get their first road win since March (!) in Mtl but rather irked right now thinking about the loss.

How Brian Rowe is starting for the Galaxy I will never understand... single-handedly lost LA 2 points tonight.

Arena doesn't think goalkeepers are something to have to think about. It has always been thus.

My thoughts on the games this weekend

    Friday

Houston at SKC 8pm - Playoff bound vs. Next season
Why you should watch this match? - SKC atmosphere is always fun even for a middling game between a mid table and a bottom table team
Prediction: 0-1 SKC has too much

    Saturday

Vancouver @ Columbus - Hey, look, its two teams we took a trophy off of this season
Why you should watch this match? - Vancouver is due for a breakout and CBus's defence isn't all that good
Prediction: 3-2 Vancouver due a breakout

Montreal @ Philly 7pm - Rebound game for both teams
Why you should watch this game before the TFC match? - 2 teams chasing us - likely a playoff foe from out of this game
Prediction: 1-3 Montreal's defence has had issues in games except against us

NYCFC @ NER 8pm - Baseball stadium team goes to NFL stadium team
Why you should watch this game after the TFC game? - We are chasing down those old geezers
Prediction: 2-2 Defence meets old guys meets turf meets weirdness

Colorado @ Dallas 9pm - Top 2 teams in the West
Why you should watch this match after our game? Rapids declining while the Dallas is getting a second wind - in theory we are chasing them for the Supporters but realistically, that's done
Prediction: 1-3 Rapids mystique is over

RSL @ Portland 10:30pm - Scrappy vs. Scrappy
Why you should watch this match? - it will not be dull that I can tell you
Prediction: 2-2 with weird stuff in the last 3 minutes

Seattle @ San Jose 10:30pm - The Fight for 7th
Why you should watch this match? - the loser's season is not done but is on life support
Prediction: 2-1 because San Jose can't adapt

    Sunday

DCU @ NYRB 1pm - Fans don't like each other
Why you should watch this match? - We play NYRB in a week and DCU likes to attack down the flanks
Prediction: 1-2 DCU defence just isnt' good enough

Orlando @ LAG 7pm - OH MY GAWD ITS LANDON DONOVAN!!!!!! ON THE BENCH!!! IN THE FLESH!!! NOT PLAYING UNTIL THE 60TH MINUTE!!!!
Why you should watch this match? - Possible opponent in a playoff game who we play in a few weeks
Prediction: 2-2 Orlando finding ways to get points

So there are gridiron lines on the field for the NYCFC @ NER game....seems appropriate.

All the results are going perfectly for us right now.

    Philly and mtl tied 1-1.

New England currently leading nycfc 3-1

Dallas and Colorado still early but 0-0. Looking for a draw or Colorado win.

Liking the Colarado uniform, looks like the Swedish MNT kit. All we need is Portland to beat RSL tonight!

What a great night! Villa and Piatti with goose eggs. Osorio nearing ?tears? getting the goal monkey off his back. And the most spectacular moment of the night, CBUS own goal!!!

Creavalle with the bonehead play to allow Montreal to score. Comes off the post on a corner and covers an area rather then a man.

So many teams needing a major rework in the offseason. It will be interesting to see which coaches get the boot. I wonder about Berhalter, things have completely unraveled in Columbus.

I can't believe Bernier was a part of that game and put in a mentionable effort, too.

Interesting news out of the NYRB game today before our game with them next week.

Zubar out within 5 minutes of the start of the game - they bring in Perinelle who is coming back from injury.

Great comeback from DCU... Reds stay on top. Two points clear of both NY teams with a game in hand

I watched that last minutes of that NYRB DCU game over again, and I noticed at least 3 occasions after DCU got their first goal when the Red Bulls could have burnt time off the clock but instead decided to focus on being cute.

They took a free kick in the DCU half about 20 seconds before they had to - coulda wasted a lot of time there brining up players, arguing about the distance to the wall etc. Didn't do it.

Then Kljestan gets a ball and instead of heading to the corner and ragging the ball, he invites a tackle and flops, expecting a foul. Instead he's called for the handball.

Finally, they had a corner. Its 2 1/2 minutes to go. They take a short corner. But, instead of taking a slight touch and sticking a butt out and inviting people to dive around, they try to play one touch passes between two guys.

To me, this smacks of 2 things

    a) immaturity in that midfield with no calming experienced hand

    b) they think they are smarter then the rest of the league

I've seen this before with NYRB this season. Their elaborate stage playing free kicks for example. Like, they are a good team with a lot of depth at FB and lot of talent up front and a good keeper. But stop it with the attitude - you are not smarter then the rest of the league.

They lost that game because they thought they knew better then the rest of the soccer world.

When up a goal with a few minutes left, waste as much time as you can on restarts.

The stars must finally be aligning for TFC, just about to lose top spot, in the 88th. minute the Red Bulls are up 2-0 on DC United and DC come back and tie the game. TFC still in first incredible , stuff like this would never have happened in years past, it's about time!
